I ended up buying a Gorilla wrench off Amazon but I probably won't use it. Instead, I'll use a torque wrench and the lug extension adapter in addition to the wheel lock key. I'll keep the original lug set because I still need it to jack the car up. I got lucky and found an old guitar stand bag to toss all the pieces into.
Yup. It's one of those things that is easy to overlook. I would not use the torque wrench for loosening the lugs though. Not what it's built for and there is the possibility of affecting the calibration. Use the Gorilla.

If the factory wrench fits you should have no problem getting a thin wall impact socket in there. Get the ones with the silicone sleeve that prevents them from damaging the wheels.
Yeah I'm not sure why the one we use for all of our cars (and that worked with my 19" BE by Breyton's) don't work with the 20" Incurve's I have now.

Wow I need to check this thread more often and any luck on getting your Go Pro camera back for the exhaust clips? The exhaust looks amazing based off the photos you have posted so far!

Also for everyone running aftermarket wheels, are you guys running your OEM lug nuts? If so, I would recommend not driving the cars until you pick up a set of tapered lug nuts that are intended for aftermarket wheels. These lugnuts will come in a thinner profile that will work with the tighter space. These kits normally kit comes with an adapter that you attach to your oem lugnut wrench and airgun that is thinner and longer. Here s an example:

Don't mistaken that lugnut adapter as wheel locks, you'll still need to purchase these seperately if you want to take extra security precautions:

Yeah I really need to buy a nice set of aftermarket lug nuts. What is our size? M10x1.25?

Thanks! The installer was in a hurry since it was Saturday before Easter and he was trying to go home early. He got some slag on the muffler which sucks but it's not visible unless to get way up close so I'm too upset. I'll have him make it up next time I need work done.

GoPro has not come home yet. Probably this week.

Sneak peak :naughty:

New 2 ft. subwoofer box. I will be running a 12" Kicker Comp VX that I got for a smoking deal using the same old Pioneer 600W RMA amp I have been using forever.

The box was designed to fit into the cavity as far as possible without having to use fiberglass. I was originally going to build the box to hug the back seat but chose to leave a little room between the box and back seat fo stashing stuff and for possibly adding a port to the box if I change subwoofers down the road.

The final board is already on. I now need to build the false wall / beauty panel, cut the hole, and cover it all in carpet that matches the OEM charcoal color.

Love the design of the box. Given me another idea. How did you design the box?

Tape measure, pen, and paper. I drew up an initial idea after writing down some measuremeets an then used the calculators on the12volt's page to fine tune the volume. I actually intended on it being ported and tuned to 25hz but decided at the last minute to leave it sealed for now.

It's made of Ultr Light MDF which I have never used before but wish I had. Much lighter the standard MDF, 20-25% lighter I think. And with the small design and low wattage I am using I don't really have to worry about flexing panels.

False wall template done and transferred to 1/8 MDF. Still have some trimming to do to make it fit a little better.

I think I am going to repo the GoPro this weekend. I was hoping to pickup an external mic for it so I can get some decent sound but we will see.

I took a BIG break from the speaker box to build a new 4x8 workbench for my mini workshop. I just needed more space for large items like the box and false wall. Got that done and was finally able to put a couple hours into it last week.

Got all the holes cut and the subwoofer installed to verify fitment. I am hoping to start covering the false wall today. I am still not 100% sure If i will leave the subwoofer visible, removable grille, or full time hidden. And if there will be a raised ring around it or not. Decisions, decisions. :ohno:

Most likely full hidden with a low raised ring around it.

I'll get some updated pics today.

I still need to do some final clean up and secure the box although I doubt it will move anywhere. Some pictures with better lighting need to be taken too.

This box was designed to be ported and is currently sealed, and it sounds like it. Still good but not where I want it. Sooooo the port will be added ASAP.

In other news the slag blown all over the muffler by the welder was MUCH worse then I realized. Once it met some rain it all showed up as rust spots all over my shinny mufflers.

New mufflers with proper Tig welds are going on later this week. Muffler guy is paying the price for being lazy, and I am paying with time for not asking enough questions. :tisk:

Oh well.

One of the colored glass inserts for my LED Foglights was not a color match to the other. The vendor claims they shipped out a replacement but it never arrived. After two weeks I contacted them again and we agreed that they will refunded me 50% the purchase price ($24) since I can still use them as white LED bulbs.

So I ordered a 12" X 48" sheet of yellow film @ $6 and used a 1.5" square of it to fix the one that was not the correct color.

Image

The correct glass on the left, the weak color on the right.

Image

Fixed. Still need to get a night shot.

Ran into a friend on the freeway on my way to work this morning. His helmet camera is always recording so he caught some video of me on the freeway. Pretty cool seeing the ride from another's point of view.
