Used M56 emblems i never installed. They have some not perfect but more then adequate 3M double on them already but it can be redone easily if desired. $40 shipped.

Here is the replacement. 2011 Yukon Denali 6.2L 403hp/417tq. Very VERY different driving experience from my M56. :chuckle:

So roomy. The kids are loving it. Only me and my oldest (17yo) are missing the driving experience of the M56 when crossing over the mountains and cruising along the coast. The wash process is a lot longer and more physical now too.

Wow I am just finally seeing this thread, Andy told me what happened to your car and I'm sorry to hear that and we'll miss all the DIY you did on your former M56.

Congrats on the new ride! A definite upgrade over the M56. Can't wait to see what projects you have in-store for the Denali. I say you should continue to update this thread with all the projects you have going on with the new Denali.

Thank you. The M56 is the first car I have parted ways with not on my terms so I had no closure with it :frown: . I definitely miss driving it especially on empty early morning drives and on the coast.

Honestly I will miss making DIY's like I did for the M56 too. There is little need for me to document much with the Yukon since information on just about every possible mod is abundant (Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, Escalade, Silverado, Sierra, Avalanche are all pretty much the same )

So far its most of my usual mods:
  • Clayed and waxed
  • Tinted front windows
  • Installed LOC, amp, and sub
  • Repair broken cup holders
  • Full Interior LED
  • LP and courtesy LED
  • Head Light LED
  • Fog Light LED
  • Lloyd floor mats
I still need to deep clean the interior including a LOT of leather and figure out a phone mount I am happy with. Not sure what else I will want to do from there. Ill add interesting info and pics when I have some.

I am also still stalking this forum just like I still do ClubLexus, my home from before the M. I'll chime in, contribute, and answer questions when I can.

I have a love/hate relationship with my M56x but i dont think there will be a day where i am willing to part ways with it that i can see. So I can understand why you'll miss it.

Glad to see that you're already putting time into the new vehicle. Can't wait to see what you have in the works for it.

Here is something interesting I did IMO. Quick disconnect subwoofer setup. I used a winch plug kit (HERE) for the power and ground, and a scrap HID plug for the remote turn-on wire.

Congrats on the new whip, I know the meaning with the longer cleaning since my wife has a 06 Range Rover, glad ur happy with it man. I would think gas mileage would be the same or a little worse looking at the size difference but the room is so plentiful.

Fuel economy has the potential to be MUCH worse. I have been babying it around and have just got to 12.9. 12-12.5 seem to be average for most of the 6.2L Yukons. I dont know exactly what I got in the M56, but I drove it hard and fast, and used way less gas. :frown:

I am still happy with this huge beast though. And yes, there's so much room for activities!
