It's pretty extensive to swap out the roof skins. I did a write up in the how to section if you want more detailed info. Basically you remove all the glass, drill the spot welds, lift off roof skin, install sunroof skin, weld all the spot welds, paint, install glass, bolt in the sunroof.

A little history on my Chevelle. It was the first new car my father ever owned. Bought it off the lot in 65 with the last dollar he had. My mother almost divorced him over it LOL. Anyhow for whatever reason he sold it about 15 years ago. After I started working overseas I found the guy that had it and bought it back. It is an original Malibu SS that had a 283 and Muncie 4-speed. Here are a couple pics of its current state and the artists renderings I had done of the way I want to build it. It will have LS power for sure, a 6 speed, and I really want the Roadster Shop chassis under it.

First off, absolutely gorgeous build man. I am a pretty picky guy when it comes to my cars and I give yours 2 thumbs up. I'm over in Iraq now stationed out of Fort Stewart and will be home in Oct. I Have a near complete build, just switching up the exterior now. I was wonder what shop you have been using and where its located at in GA? Also what did the paint run you minus the engine bay? I'm really in need of a good shop so if you could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Nothing much to add. My father due to health reasons needed 24 hour care last year so all of my nights and weekends were committed to taking care of him. My V-Rod sat all year apart too. Dad passed back in October so I have been working on my bike and waiting for the weather to warm up so I can finally get the 240 down the 1/4 mile and see what she will actually do. I have been toying with the idea of getting rid of the car minus the motor so if anyone is seriously interested let me know. I may just part the whole car out as well but I haven't decided that yet so please don't ask for specific parts yet.

Vrods and LS 240's, I love it. I gotta cam the Vrod out, such awesome bikes. (Harleys) with Porsche designed liquid cooled motors make most 600cc / 750cc experienced supersport bike riders say what the hell just happened.

STOLEN

Either Monday night or Tuesday morning my car was stolen from in front of my shop. If anyone spots it or the parts for sale please notify me. I had been playing around with the idea of getting rid of the car but I just couldn't bring myself to part with it. It was too much fun and I had too much time in it but now its gone. It is at least insured and I met with the investigator today so I will see how that goes. So far there are no leads and no sightings of it so if you see it please please let me know.

Well my car was finally found. It was torched on the side of the road completely intact. Nothing and I mean nothing was removed off of the car. I can't believe that all those expensive parts were just destroyed. What a total waste. The months of time and labor put into this car can't even be calculated. It made me sick to my stomach to see it like this. I sure would like to get my hands on the person that lit the match. Here are the pics.
