I had Dave's (Fezzik) bachelor party on Sat, and prior plans this past Fri...so I was a no-go. But if you want to hook up this Friday for test and tune at the Valley (Shawn and Tyler), I'm game.

Can everyone make it, and if so what time? Test and tune/Grudge Racing is from 6-10:30pm (EDT).

I can be there around 6:30 if I leave straight from work, or 7:30 if I go home first.

Ok I not going to make this Friday to the track (my girl owns me). So if somebody wants to hang out for a little on Sat. I can. I will be ordering tires for my 15" rims and once they are on I'm going to make a trip to Beech Bend. If anybody want to come your more than welcome (should be in about 2 weeks or until it gets cool enough).

Well i went didn't go exactly as I planned. First it was during the day and not at night so I got 70 degree weather instead of 50's. But I end up get a 14.603 @ 94.94 so 95 launching for idle (600 rpms). I tried launching higher but everytime I did I just wheeled hopped. I will be going again maybe.

Those are not bad times. I have yet to get what I would call a good run anywhere. Even with Z-series stickie tires, I wheel-spin into 2nd gear which hurts my 60'. With the Injen intake, my top-end is not where it should be either. I have never really run with any mods at all. Best stock (with crappy Potenza tires) was a [email protected] at Beech Bend.

I cant believe the intake on my car is only like an inch in diameter. Im cuttinga ginormouse hole in front of my air filter!

Does anyone here know where I can get a climate control for a 00-01 not a 02-03?? half of my lights dont work on it no more so I am just going to get a new one.

I also have a 2000 maxima.that intake is tuned for low and mid range torque. When I replaced it with my Berk intake (which I highly recommend) I immediately noticed a loss of low end grunt, but it now pulls like a freight train in the upper RPMs (and gets better MPG). After driving it a week I forgot what it used to feel like down low.

When I sell the maxima in the spring I might consider letting the intake go seperately. Depends on who buys the car.

You can have my '02 digi that I have sitting around to see if it will work

Since the '00-01 and '02-03 are slightly different externally, the actual digital readout may be the same. If that is the case, you can hack into yours, remove your screen, then replace the bad with the panel from the '02 I have....

that might sound like a plan. The only diff on it is the readout of the outside temp button. You have yours on your gauges and mine is on the climate control. I will try that out. Let me know when a good time is.Did you come to the meet??

sorry, been kind of busy for a couple days. It is not the display, it is the lights in the keys that will not come on any more. I used to be able to hit the side of my dash and they would pop on but now they wont come on any more.

So what exactly causes wheel hop?the other day I dropped into second to get out of someone's way and I got wheel hop until I backed off. Is it just the design of the car or is it a sign that something is worn out? The only other car I've had that did this was a 1979 280ZX, and that went away with new shocks.

No traction or partial traction causes wheel. The only way to get rid of it are traction bars.
