There is a Louisville meet this Sat 9/10/2005 @ cox park by the river.

The Nissan caravan will be meeting up at Meijers to go down there.

Funny story here guys.I saw this add for a 2004 Jetta for next to nothing so I emailed the guy to find out what the deal is.he says he's been moved to the UK and wants to sell the car fast ( less than 8000 for a car with 21000 miles). After a few e-mails he says that if we reach a deal he'll be back next week... so I bite and he tells me there are a lot of people interested in the car.... send $2000 deposit to a third party "auto escrow company" to hold it. Starting to sound fishier here... so I plunk down $20 for a car fax.turns out the car went through a dealer auction last month, which would make him the 3rd owner instead of the first owner he claimed to be.Time to start having fun.I agree to send the $2000. He says he'll set it all up and to e-mail him as soon as I send the money.with in 15 minutes I get an e-mail from "auto trade center" with instructions to send the money to their london office via Wester Union.The return e-mail address points to a domain name that doesn't exist and the graphics are linked to square deal.com. When you call square deal there is a recording stating that they are not a 3rd party escrow company and they don't send e-mails telling people to send money (not the first time on this I guess).

Next day I e-mail the guy telling him I didn't have time to run to the bank due to meetings.

Next day I ignore him. Late in the day he e-mails to see if there is any news.So I send an "out of office" message stating i'm out until Monday.

Monday I'm not sure if I will ask if he got the $$ or what.I've already filed a report with the FBI.

I think i might meet up at the meijers for a nice little strole to the meet.

I heard of a story just like that on 502SS when i first registered. Except they was wanting to buy your car instead of the other way around.

Hey guys. Thought i'd invite you all to my wedding which is on October 16th at 330pm. This is where most of my time has been devoted to and why u havent seen me on the forums much. Scott or Dane, if you dont mind directing Fred to this thread. I figure i can handle 2 350z people at my wedding lol.

Sup guys, I live in Madison and heard there was a nice crowd that hangs out down on Preston. I went down there and tried to talk to some people at Best Buy's parking lot and Rally's, but no one wants anything to do with you if you don't have some elaborate paint job and air ride. Was wondering if anyone here hangs out down there? I met some guy named Dave that drives a black 240sx- he came to Madison last night and we talked for a while. Im trying to meet some people down in Louisville and check there racing scene out, because its gotten pretty weak here. Someone please get back to me~

I thought all racing quit when gas went over $2.60 a gallon??

by the way, after a week of toying with that guy who wanted to rip of my $2000, I told him that I was going to cancel the check i "mailed".He really got PO'd that I didn't send the money the "proper" way using Western Union and send the tracking number. He dropped his cool so bad that he actually forwarded the instructions from the "third party" company, basically proving he had sent it himself.

Tyler: Welcome to NICO. We occasionally meet up here in Louisville. Not so much on Preston, too much drama and stupidity. Try joining http://www.502streetscene.net. You'll be able to meet a lot of people there, and find out when they meet up.
