Hi Guys, Just thought I'd log in and see what I've missed this summer. Cullen, did you get a new car?

I don't know if any of you have seen this already, but I thought it was VERY funny. An article with pictures on what a car magazine did to get a sentra to run in the 14's with no $$ spent.

Yes, I got a new car...

runs and hides---> I got a brand new black srt-4

that article is awesome. SCC is the only magazine of it's type that is still around that has not completely gone trendy.

EDIT: Grassroots Motorsports is still around almost forgot about that magazine.

Steve: Yes, that video is awesome. Someone sent me a link to it last week. Looks like stuff I used to do when I was 16 and crap for brains, but in SE-Rs not 80k dollar vehicles. lol

Hal: Yes, it is true. I could not pass up the deal. I'll call you later. Oh, and spray is probably the only thing I won't be selling off the maxima.lol

Good to hear from you Mark and Steve, hope you guys can make it for the install or the E-town meet on Sunday.

OK boys, this Saturday 9/11/04 is Dave's header install/group install project day. If you have any parts that need installed or replaced, post up. Hopefully we can get everything buttoned up on Saturday and have a good Maxima showing at the E-town meet Sunday. The link won't post correctly, but here is the info, and I will post up if I find any info on a caravan to E-town...or we could have our own Maxivan.

Hey all! There is a 502 meet on the 12th in E-town that several local Nissan people are going to. It would be cool to get as many Nico member there as well.E-town is about 30 min south of Louisville.

When: September 12,2004 12:00 noon

where: Etown's Pritchard Community Center 404 South Mulberry, Elizabethtown KY 42701

It's just going to be a parking lot meet with some lunch/dinner someplace later.

Where is the Saturday install going to be? If it's this side of the river I might drop in and say hi. I may bring my ski along and work on it. I'm installing hard shell bindings and it'll take a good hour or 2.

There are over 30 people signed up to go to the E-town meet. Only about 5-7 Nissans so far. Lets get a big Maxima turnout.

BTW: Cullen I'm sad that you didn't get a 350z! The SR-T 4 is a great car though.

Steve: great video BTW. I think teh install may take place at Dave's, Zorn Ave @ Brownsboro. Someone post up if the plan is different. I'll make sure time and location are posted before Saturday.

Dane: don't encourage him...he's no longer part of the NICO family...j/k...still couldn't ask for a better friend, even if he drives a neon (HI!). Still, not much difference to me, just another car he can smoke me in:)

Yeah he really caught me off guard with that post. I thought after talking to him on the phone that he was a lock for a good used Brickyard 350z 6-speed. Oh well he got a faster car but not a better car.

Update for this Saturday, the install is going to be at Cullen's Grandfather's in Charlestown, IN. So I'm sure we'll just meet up at McD's at exit 0.

Hi! I'm a neon.

Yes, it is a very well engineered car, but not the best built. It was either have a car payment on the Z, or basically get the srt for free. So, I had too. I miss the maxima alot though(remembering how I caressed Scott's maxima key and key FOB against my cheek last night) .

LOL

Hey a car payment on a 350z is better than a FREE neon any day.....even if you will pull on me.

j/k

I have seen nothing but good things from the srt-4 and their owners. My friend Jessie will be at the E-town meet. He has a Red SRT-4 with many many add ons. You will need to get with him and get some great info.

BTW: Which color did you get? The 04 Mopar Orange is the best. IMO

Scott: I would love to come to the install but I don't get off work till 5. If you still think that you guys will be together around 5 then I can make it. The only thing is I don't have the springs yet but I do have a CD player that I need to put in so if you guys can help me out that would be great.

Cullen, if it really starts to get to you, come over and you can wash my 2000.

I won't make it saturday. I have to finish some drywall work in the morning at a daycare.

Hal please order from Midway Nissa/Infiniti

orScottsdalehttp://www.everythinginfiniti.com/

Or Pinnacle Infiniti:http://www.nissanparts.org/

Or Grubbs Infinitihttp://secure.grubbs.com/Grubb....html

These are our sponsors making this site possible.

they offer 25% off MSRP for parts and give great service.

There is absolutely no reason to go anywhere but a Nico sponsor.

Update for tomorrow: meet up at McDonalds @ Exit 0 in Jeff 8:00. Get busy. Matt: Are you and your UDP coming?Drew: I'm sure we'll still be at it long past 5. The radio's probably not a good idea for tomorrow...greasy people shouldn't do interior work. You're still welcome to come out if you like, just give me or Cullen a call for directions.

Yeah Matt. Now would be the perfect time to work on that UDP. Since you have a auto, it will be a d!ck to get that thing off, but i'm renting an air compressor and hoses and there will be a air ratchet thanks to maxhopper

After reading the updates, I was going to plan on being there, but since it is 4am and I don't have the belts nor the gasket, it's kind of a moot point. I am also going to put the car in the shop this morning to have the front rotors turned as I desperately need to get rid of the horrendous shimmy.

I will probably show up at McD's by 8am to say "HI" tho....

Dave, hope the header install went well. Great seeing you/Cullen/Scott this morning. I would have loved to have joined in the fun, but my brake job was a priority over picking up the stuff for my UDP Hell, I did not even get the damn car back from the shop until 5pm

The header install was a complete success. With tons of help from Scott and of course Cullen. Of all the things that could have gone wrong... well didnt happen .... It went smoothly and no leaks as of now which is amazing considering all the pieces that had to go together. Sounds great. Like a 350z but its hella loud on the road at WOT. It took us a total of 12 hours to install the headers. ANother big thanks goes out to Cullen and Scott for all their help. Couldnt do it without ya....

Ok hope to see you guys at the meet tomorrow. Meijer's at 1pm. Cya there!
