Looking to purchase an EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey everyone. I own a '12 M37 and I love its power train. Now looking to buy an EX35/37 for me wife. How does the 2008-2010 EX35 differ from the 2010-2012 EX35 ? All I noticed was the dashboard lighting and later on, they added the 7 speed transmission. Is there anything else I'm missing ? Should I even bother looking for a 2008-2010 model ?

The 2008-2009 EX35's have the older navigation system that isnt as advanced as the 2010+. it was again updated in 2013 or 2014, and while it is functionally identical to the older ones, it has updated internal hardware that makes things like the bluetooth more reliable.

The 2011's got the 7 speed and the white gauge cluster, and in 2013 they went to the Vq37VHR 3.7L that bumped the power up some 25hp. 2016 they stretched the chassis out and it has significantly more legroom

i would say get as new of a model year as you can afford.

Alright.. so it seems the 2010+ is the more desirable model. Although I don't know how much these things will matter to my wife.. LOL

How can you easily tell what packages the EX35 has, just by looking around at pictures of it ? On the M its somewhat easy and I know what to look for, but what about the EX ?

Here are a couple of threads in this forum about model year info. They don't really go back as far as the '08 and '09 models, but it should be at least a good starting point for your research.

Good luck with your search, and please be sure to come back and post here if you end up pulling the trigger on a purchase.
