isn't this type of discrimination common in the south?
$35k is a little excessive....WOW. but the girl didnt file, the school filed against the district? thats pretty neat considering a lot of americans are quick to sue over the smallest freakin thing.
discrimination is completely wrong...one of my gfs (who is stunning and the nicest person you'll ever meet) just got discriminated against ultimately and pulled from a large scale gig because the company found out she was hearing impaired--and it in no way affected her performance or appearance. I doubt she'll file a lawsuit but shes publicly bashing the company all over the place and is getting a lot of support.
"The district also agreed to follow a non-discrimination policy as part of the settlement, though it argues such a policy was already in place." <----obviously not, if this happened.
I wonder how many kids egged her house after finding out their prom was cancelled because of her or if they were sympathetic towards her?
