AWESOME!

I'm still pissed I missed out on seeing Korn when they came to Salt Lake about 10 years ago. I can't imagine that being a dull concert.

And of course you can't lose with Floyd coverbands.

i saw slipknot a couple years ago (with slayer, motorhead, and anthrax :BnB: ) and they were fantastic. i have yet to see korn, but would love to. i imagine the real pink floyd (what's left of it anyway) will do something since they have a new album coming out in a couple months, but i highly doubt i'd be able to afford those ticket prices. besides, i'd want them to perform older material exclusively.

the cheapest i've seen so far for pre-sale of the slipknot show is 75, and that requires some type of membership with fan clubs, and it's pit area. i used to love pits, but since the wrist injury i've shied away. plus standing for a couple of hours breathing in everyone else's sweaty mouth exhaust while being forced to sway and get stomped on by jumping people, all while avoiding getting sucked into a pit isn't as much fun as it used to be.

the cheapest for floyd is a bit more than 50 for the upper deck. they try and re-create the visual theatrics of an original floyd show, so i don't want to be too close, but against the back wall isn't all that desirable to me either.
Since those are the bands you're looking for, I have another suggestion- Groupon & Living Social. Hear me out. All to often I see acts for sale on Groupon & LS, decent stuff, and I have actually seen Korn available for sale, too. Take a peek from time to time to see if they're on it again.

I did not go because Korn aren't what they used to be either. I saw them twice in the past, awesome both times. However, they've released more albums than I care to know about since Follow the Leader and very little of the original band remains. I'd be looking for the old music, but would likely get a show with a couple of key hits and the rest would be stuffed with everything post "Issues" and that new electronica rock they're playing.

The pit isn't where I want to be these days either. Don't blame you at all there, age is a b****. Hell, I saw Marilyn Manson from the mezzanine seats at a venue known for the floor and proximity to the stage. This didn't stop me and everyone else up there from rocking out though. I even dropped my wallet and had it returned to me with everything in it- that NEVER would have happened in the pit area.

the only reason why i never got into groupon and living social is because i don't want the constant e-mails coming to my phone and driving me insane. i'm sure i can opt out of receiving e-mail alerts, but then i would never log in to randomly look for deals since i rarely actually do anything, so it'd be a useless membership to yet another company that would have my e-mail address.

Things are good man. Lots have happened over the last year or so. Moved out to my bro's again, moved out to Sac after that for about 6 months with my best friend and his girl, but then I moved back home with my parents because my room mates bailed back to theirs and I have too many bills to live on my own.

Wassup with you man? How's the family and home? Did you ever buy your RB?

family is good. couple home issues, but i'm sorting all that out. i've had the rb on a stand in the basement for a few years now, just waiting for things to settle before i can proceed on the project again. being out of work for the better part of two years really threw a wrench in all my plans.

Howdy fellas.

Made a margarita the way I used to when I was younger 80/20 ratio, favoring the tequila. Twas a great drink.

so we were sitting on the porch last night and we hear this strange shriek and notice my dog showing excessive interest in a spot in the front lawn. we go investigate and see nothing at first but then a movement in the corner of my eye made me turn. it was a shrew. i've never seen one before. we caught it, lost it on the porch, caught it again, lost it in the grass, then my dog killed it. and that, my friends, is the story of kwanzaa.

Nah, made that drink last night before settling in to watch the game.

Nice story Tito. Did your dog eat it, too?
