Surprise snow shower this morning! Roads are pretty terrible and I *almost* got t-boned by a dummy in a brand new CTS coming down a hill into an intersection. Hey, at least he has insurance, right?

Pats/Colts this weekend! It'll be one hell of a rainy, muddy, crappy conditions game! Probably wont be very much passing going on.
Good morning Ray!Not a real good way to start your day.At least you didn't get hit.A few weeks ago i was heading to work and this dipsh*t ran a red light and clipped the front of my Z. It is at the body shop now. :frown:

Morning fellas. I just got done changing out the windshield washer pump on my Express. Man was that a PITA. No way to get the tank out, so I earned a few good scratches and I lost a 13mm wrench in the process.

The wrench was a casualty of the "anger toss". It now resides in my neighbors woods for betraying me!

What. The f***. Thats frustrating man. Did he hit the wheel or just ahead of the wheels? You must've been piiiiiissed. Hope you yelled at him in true Southern fashion.

Did the open end round off a bolt or slip off causing some bruised knuckles? Did you send it off with some choice words?

I pretty much curse and yell while working on stuff regardless so...choice words are used early and often.

You can't have a nice car anywhere, Ben. Even in the country some gangsta-a** deer is going to wreck your ride.

Good morning folks! Saw my first Broadway play last night, Wicked. Was pretty awesome to see all of those folks work in seamless harmony- the live orchestra, the conductor, actors, tech crew, I'm sure there is more than that. No matter how you look at it, products is damned impressive.

You going with poly or aluminum bushings?

Aluminium. I gotta do offset bushings. But the subframe's going for cleaning and powdercoat first.

I had these reinforcements welded on, so I wanna protect the thing from rusting, clean up the current rust, and make it look all perdy. I need to contact Todd at JGT in Ferrum, VA about bringing it to him on a weekend since I can't get down that way during the week and a subframe is too bulky to cheaply ship.

I had a friend dump an Optimus L7 phone on me the other day, spent the better part of the day studying how to and then rooting, ROMing and configuring it as a backup phone since my Rugby is starting to act up. I just tried a new launcher and it seems to be making all the difference. Man, the screen is huge even if the phone is a little slow. I put CM11 on it, I like the new kitkat!

KitKat is awesome.

I used to be a diehard CM guy, but these days it's about being simple and approachable, and most of the fine customization options have been traded for "just works" which feels very much counter to the Android way in my book.

Yeah I used to be all CM too but with my last phone I was running stuff from various developers.

I haven't really even thought about rooting my current phone though. LG put a ton of options in the stock OS that really has surprised me a lot.

Heck this is the first stock OS that I've ever seen that has a launcher already setup that is fully customizable with theme support. Funny, because last time I was due for an upgrade LG didn't make anything worth buying at all.

I think this thread represents Nissan from the 90's to now.
From the first Learned'd to this is basically what Nissan has become.

I've never seen such disregard for cyanogenmod... It's not like it's that bad, nor is it very permanent. Holy crap guys. It's almost like it was a girlfriend that let you down. :chuckle:

I think what bothers me is that these days it's one of the best-tested ROMS out there, but the devs don't include any of the power-user goodies anymore because they're trying to become a big public commercial OS instead. So those of us who once benefitted from the shine and polish and quality of the ROM can't any longer--if we want very basic stuff like actionbar tweaks. Xposed Modules help, but I don't want to spend an hour installing extras on top of my rom every time I flash. I miss having a solid ROM with the features I want.

I don't usually use the official versions anyway. XDA comes up with all sorts of types and versions, I only wish I had the wherewithal to develop myself...

Fair point for sure. And most ROMs are based on CM source, so you still benefit a lot from their work either way.

I have an obscure phone (dev-wise), so usually it's either official CM or something very broken.

I find this thread's current lack of car stuff and/or fire disturbing.

Car stuff and fire shall resume when it's not currently below freezing outside after work or when I get a garage. Until then, it's survival mode in the house.

I've been sick(and so is the whole house) so I haven't felt like digging into much on the Miata in the past week. I did install a battery tender on it Thursday night though, because i'm tired of the tiny battery discharging every time it gets cold. Miata batteries suck.

I've got a new HVAC control panel and timing belt set to install on it soon though. Then I plan on ordering a new top and a few other goodies for it soon.
