Nothing pisses me off more than when i'm up late, and i turn off my lights, dim my computer, put headphones on, and stay as motionless as possible. only to have someone come in and cut on the lights, and the TV and blast it loud early the next morning.

*Late night problem

My parents called today and guilt tripped me into cleaning their gutters this morning. With a bad hangover, too.

Then when I got there, they decided to let me take out their garbage and fix a bunch of crap around the house, too.
I better get a steak tonight, dammit.

Anywhoo, sup fools? I've been on and off this place for the past few weeks. Been super busy with work and everything, I've never had time to get on and see how my Learned'd crew is doing. How're all of you guys? I'm actually looking into getting my mom a 4th gen Maxipad next week. Check it:

For $1800, it's a damn good deal. Plus, it gives us a back up in case the B14 gives me hell again. I don't think it will for a while. With a newer motor, rebuilt transmission, and basically a new front suspension on it, this car wont see the shop for another year or so.

I'm kinda glad I disappeared there for a little while. These pictures. They make me frightened. I'm gonna have nightmares about Ms. Black Barbie up there.

So I was talking to the owner of a performance company down here called Black Ops Performance. He imports a lot of GT-Rs and he said he likes to hire students in tech classes and see how they do. Well umm...guess who fits them there credentials? This guy. I'm gonna hit the place up next weekend and do a little photoshoot and see if I can get my foot in the door. Kinda tired of working for Ford anyway.

Have fun at the photoshoot. :)
Try your best to not take pictures that could've been taken with a point & shoot. :chuckle:

Quite a bit actually. :chuckle:

If the background is ugly or uninteresting, open up the aperture and blur it out. That's one thing point and shoots can't do.
That'll also allow you to use a lower ISO setting and prevent from getting a lot of ugly noise like this:

Image

And if you camera has image stabilization, you can probably slow down the shutter speed and lower the ISO even more.
Not saying your stuff sucks (I don't like my own pictures to be honest), you're coming along nicely!
I know a lot of people that spend like over a thousand on a DSLR and just snap away in Auto mode. How pointless.

Yeah. I have my camera set in aperture priority and I'm always playing with the aperture and ISO settings while I'm shooting. I just like a good clean shot. I don't like to blur out the background or anything. When I'm at car shows, the background ends up being uninteresting, but I always try to capture the sunset or something just to make it pop a bit. I know I've got a long road ahead of me to becoming a really good photographer, but from everyone that's seen my photos, they say I'm doing pretty damn good for only having a camera since my 18th birthday.

EDIT: Then again, it all depends on the shot I'm going for. Sometimes I do try to get all of my focus on the subject matter to the point where the background is just a nonexistent blur.

It is Monsoon season in the desert. It's been very mild here the past few days. Highs ranging from the high 70s to low 100s so I can't complain. How is Florida?

It sucks per the typical. The weather down here is a bipolar whore. Rains, then sunshine, then rain WITH sunshine. It's completely impossible to predict how Florida's weather will be for more than a day. Rained quite a bit today and it'll probably be dry as hell tomorrow then windy as hell Monday. :tisk: I hate this state sometimes.
