Well, not a lot really. It's overcast with what looks like rain about to roll in. So I'll be trying to keep the boys entertained without losing my mind in the process. What's left of it anyway...

My 3 year old can destroy a room that fast on her own :tisk:

My wife works 3 and is off 4. I would LOVE that kind of schedule. Some nurses also work what's called a "Weekend Plan", where basically they only work Saturday and Sunday every week, but get paid for 3 days, because most people don't want to work the weekends.

No kidding. I need a vacation already. I've been out of the Navy for 2 and a half months now, and I'm already over the job I'm working at now. I need to get a resume out and start looking for real work. I also need a week just for "me time."

Mornin' Brian, Ben.
Are you guys making it to Carlisle this year?

Damned headlight bulb burned out. Stupid Subaru online store sent me a high beam when I requested (based on the diagram) a low beam. Jerks.

Mornin' Gents.

I'm not making it to Carlisle sadly. We have to make a trip to VA the week before and I can't shuffle things around, plus I have limited vacation time this year too.

I've heard Subaru's like to eat headlight bulbs. That sucks they sent you the wrong one though.

Awesome, Brian! Can't wait to hang and booze it up with you again. I'll be in late Thursday night. Shoot. I need to ask Torry if I can crash his room Thursday night.

Bummer that you can't make it Chris. Will you go to the Dragon? I want to try and make it there this year. Last year a work trip got in the way.

I hope the car doesn't eat bulbs, that would SUCK. I'l have to do the mod that disables the daytime running lights in order to get them to last longer. Hows the Ford holding up?

I do intend to be at the Dragon. Matt threatened my life if I didn't anyways, but as long as the wife is off, i'll be able to go. If we buy something cool for the wife, i'll probably bring it instead of the 5 Hondo.

I also would like to mention that I was proud of my wife last night - While talking about possible SUV's, she actually asked about a Porsche Cayenne. Sadly it gets horrible fuel economy, but still I was proud that she actually asked about something cool. She also really likes the Ford Edge Sport as well, so if one is available in our budget when we look, I definitely want to consider one. 305hp and AWD - yes please.

The Ford is holding up surprisingly well. I've put 8,000 miles on it without any major issues. I put new front brakes on it a few months ago and i've had to change the oil. Other than that, it's doing great now since I had my mechanic sort it out. We drove it to VA and all over D.C. last month and it got nearly 30mpg on the way there. Heck, we nearly made it all the way there on a tank of gas. Last time we went, the Jeep took 2 1/2 tanks just to get there. It's boring and bland but it's reliable, gets good fuel mileage, and is comfortable to drive. It should be a good daily driver for a long time, which hopefully means I can buy something stupid when Kristen finishes school :naughty:

You can crash in my room Thursday night Ray. I'll be up pretty early Friday though, in time for a early breakfast and track setup by 7ish iirc.

I was planning on going this year, but unfortunately my wife's health issues and the mounting bills associated with it will prevent me from going anywhere in the near future.

I don't remember what's ailing your wife, if you mentioned it. Regardless, I hope everything is ok. Medical bills suck, my Mom-in-law had a ton of them before she finally lost the battle with Cancer last year.

Are you still stuck with med bills after shes passed, or do those get forgiven? Or is that what life insurance is for?

30mpg is pretty awesome. I don't get much over 27 with my subaru; you're doing pretty well! The Sport Edge isn't awful. I drove one in Seattle in all kinds of conditions last year. It performed very well. Quick on dry pavement, never lugged down. Confident in deep snow, and had a butt-ton of infotainment that was very pleasing to use. Its a very good value, IMO.

That was a lot of beers ago, so I'm sure I forgot. Sorry man, not much I can say other then that. Cancer is a real b****. I did a crap load of reading after Kates Mom got it. Are you guys trying to keep your body pH levels high? I've been eating a ton of green veggies ever since I had my pH tested a couple years ago and I found out how acidic my chemistry was. It's now neutral for the most part, depending on my diet.

Anyway, here's a link in case you want something to read on the topic.

Thanks Brian! There is some great info in there!
I had no idea your PH levels had that much to do with Cancer.
Are you taking any of the supplements they talk about?

Not at this time, but I've considered it. I eat a lot of broccoli and kale and generally eat salad twice a day. I have to eat a lot of veggies because alcohol and coffee crank your acidity levels way up. Which is a bad thing where cancer is concerned.
