Yeah I miss the lake a lot. Ever since my dad died, i've hardly been to the lake at all. We were going to Kristens grandparents at times, but they had to sell the place last year and move here for health reasons.

Someday i'd like to buy a lake house of our own though. That's one of my goals in life, because most of my best childhood and early teenage memories involve the lake and my dad. Even if we don't ever get to actually own a place, i'd like to find somewhere we can go, because i'd like for my kids to get that same experience someday.

Did you guys have a boat and some fishin' rods? Was it a seasonal lake where the hot out of towners showed up week after week while you spent your whole summer there?

Also, just picked an awesome booger. It was like a scab.

We had two boats, one of which is still my favorite boat to this day. A 1975 Century Ski Boat with a 454 Chevrolet in it - it was WICKED to drive and sounded awesome. It was one of the fastest boats on the water at that lake, aside from the inside jet boats with blowers on them. We also had a nice little Boston Whaler with a 40hp outboard on it.

We always had tons of fishing rods too. There was plenty of good fishing around there, so if we weren't swimming or out on the lake, fishing was next on the agenda.

People were there year round, but during the late spring and summer there were hot chicks everywhere and the lake was fairly busy.

Definitely not built. Century is who made them.

This is is almost identical to it:

If I ever buy one, this is the model I want. I absolutely love mahogany boats.

Haha, that thing looks sooooo unsuspecting. It must be awesome to make some sweet wake with that thing. I've never water skied. Can you do any cool tricks?

I know man. They're a straight up sleeper. The one we had would hit about 70mph on the water, which is cooking on the water. Sounded flat out too.

I can't water ski actually. I was one of the few in the family that never learned how.

How do you grow up, going to a lake, owning a boat and then not be able to water ski?

There isn't anything to "learn" really. Have you tried and failed or are you just a gigantic puss?

5 lug conversion to some 240 kid? You could sell the limited slip rear (it'll have a 'viscous' sticker on it and the axles along with the half shafts.

I tried and failed numerous times over the years. I'm a huge klutz, so I have terrible coordination and balancing skills. I actually never been able to skate either. I'm not a very graceful person :rotfl

I can tube just fine and have even been able to get up on a wake board, but no luck with ski's :frown:

No, I actually don't fall a bunch. I do bump into things occasionally, but usually it's due to height.

People say i'm hilarious when I drink, but usually it's just the way I act and the s*** I say. I joke around a lot normally, but I rant and get wound up a lot more when I have a few drinks in me

Tito, the aluminum uprights are an upgrade for 240 guys. The rear diff will be vlsd for sure but it is a pain to find the right axels to fit a 240. Z32TT guys will buy all that stuff though. Different gear ratios in the diff I believe. As for 5 lug I don't know what you can and can't use or sell, My car was already 5 lug when i swapped to z32 N/A rear parts so it is a bastardized hyrbid of parts. I feel sorry for someone if I ever sold my car. It literally has more 300zx parts than 240 parts. :rotfl

the diff is mine, it was the whole reason i bought the thing lol. the 5 lug i can't use, but i know the s-chassis guys wanting 5-lug would take them, along with the e-brake stuff for those swapping to z32 calipers. i was just mainly wondering about control arms, abs sensors, and axles. otherwise it's all going into the ever growing scrap metal pile.

oh yeah, totally forgot about that hicas thing. also the upright swap (just checked the tech write up and swapping out the lca at the same time makes things easier). time to grab some brews and take this thing apart for pictures.

i wish. being in and out of work lately hasn't allowed me much money to spend on the project after making sure my bills get paid first. i'm actually only a bottle of gas away from being able to start some body work, then i can work on mounting the engine.

Did you get the diff? If it's VLSD, then I'm sure someone would buy that. ABS sensors rarely fail on the Z32, and no one really gives a damn anyways, since we'll just pull the fuse and rock out with regular brakes. Control arms could probably make you a buck or two, but most people just get SPL or Powertrix. Maybe you could hock a LCA to someone who was in a wreck, but there's not much of a market there. You could always throw it up in the Z32 classifieds section with a detailed list of what you have with pics.

So I needed a haircut (badly). I haven't had a haircut in ages. Usually I just shave it all off. But it's cold. And there's a hair "academy" across the street from my apartment. So I decided to go pay them $5 to buzz my head for me.

AMAZINGLY AWKWARD. The poor girl was nice enough but it was just a weird setting. I guess I'm the wrong kind of guy for that kind of place (read: I do not drive a Golf or a lifted F250). And because it's a school, they had to have the instructor approve everything and she was clearly amused that I just wanted a buzz cut. Then I got a complimentary scalp massage which was WEIRD. Just weird. Then I got a shampoo with some fancy-a** stuff. I'm all for a $5 no-effort buzz cut but I am pretty picky about people touching me...yes, even attractive ladies.

Actually, I take all that back.

If you have the subframe, sell the whole thing to a TT guy. He'll buy it for the R200. Call it an N/A subframe conversion for TT.

Until you have the bathroom attendant come up behind you and massage your shoulders and then kidneys while you're taking a leak...you haven't experienced weird.
