I'm not okay with all the road grime being caked on my paint.

Fortunately they don't salt the roads here (not that I have to worry much with all the aluminum under my car) but back in Utah that was the biggest reason for regular winter-weather washes.

We wash the Mazdaspeed Protege every week/fill up with gas. They DO salt the roads in Kansas, and generously. Luckily we haven't had much snow this year (only snowed twice so far), but I plan on keeping this car for a while and don't want it to start rusting.

The car wash near my house (that I can't fit into cause I'm too low, I might add) has under car sprayers as you drive in. Really cool thing that I think all car washes should have.

Yup. Got one of those glass-house drive-through carwashes up here that does underbody spray and also thoroughly gets the top of the rear bumper--things most carwashes suck at.

No car wash is remotely capable of getting the lip of the TT rear spoiler

I've not taken any of our cars to a car wash since I came to AZ. All of ours are washed by hand.

we hand wash in the summer, but that's not really an option in January in Kansas, lol! Plus it still.doesn't clean the undercarriage

Morning fellas.
I have a winter beater that I wash once a year, after the snow and salt leaves.

Speaking of snow and salt, just got back from St. Thomas- the only salt there is in the ocean!

And that salt will corrode EVERYTHING. I left a hat on my uncle's boat for about 3 days and the brass clip had already corroded to the point of not being able to move the strap anymore.

That has more to do with it being uncoated brass than it being super salty, however.

They've salted the roads so badly here (for 1-2"...HA) in MD that the roads are pure white. I refrain from cracking my window when I see the cars in front of me kicking up salt clouds behind them.

Morning Ben.

The car wash here on base does touchless or brushes and does the undercarriage. It's only 7 bucks, so I go through the touchless weekly pretty much year round. I also hand wash and wax every 2 weeks when the weather is nice. I just like having a few cold beers and making the car shine. It's also good for the my boys. Lets them establish good practices.

On a cool side note, Dylan my 5 yr old, is pretty good at hockey! Gonna to send him to a hockey camp this summer and let him get a feel for the game.

So he loves cars and hockey :mike

I bet you can't wait to get those back man.

Trip was pretty awesome. 80's the entire time with a short, daily rain shower. Loads of snorkling, hopped on a sail boat for a day, did some hiking in St. John, had the best roti ever, and drank a good bit of rum. Did some romantic things, too but I won't bore you guys with my sappy stuffs.

I did see a CRX with a GM 3.8 in it. And one beat up third gen camaro. The owner taped the T Top seams with clear tape and had clear garbage bags on the seat.

Holy wiring Batman! Wiring is fun for me. I like the challenge. Which reminds me. I need to wire a 5th gen Maxima cluster into my mom's 4th gen. Should be fun.

It's only 3 wires so it's easy.
Gonna move the MAF wires over to the passenger side, as well as put a plug on the end so I can switch between MAFs if needed. (You can see the female plug on my stock MAF connector, I just need to put the male side on the car harness now.)
I dunno if that big black wrap that wrapped all those wires together do any sort of useful shielding, but I'm gonna grab some off a junkyard car so I can keep the MAF wires wrapped too.

I always wrap wires. Any time I wire anything, I do the cleanest job possible.

So how's everyone doing? I've been slacking on coming in here. Freaking working all day :tisk:

I guess I'm one of the lucky few who actually enjoys his job. I mean...I'd rather spend my days driving and generally screwing about, but I genuinely enjoy going to work every day.
