Chad, you're from the general area anyway, so maybe you have an answer. Where do those people come from? I swear I'm not exaggerating when I say 60-75% of the visitors were not speaking English. I heard tons of Chinese (or maybe other Asian dialects) at least one Indian language, Spanish and a couple of eastern European and maybe Russian speakers. It was very bizarre. I just don't know why those folks were all at Starved Rock as it's pretty much in the middle of no where. I can't imagine people from other countries visiting Chicago would even hear about it, let alone want to visit if they did...

LOL! I'm from a tiny farm town in Missouri. I've lived in the Chicago area only since 1998.

All I know is that we have tons of Eastern European folk living in Chicagoland, and as a matter of fact, the only place on earth with more Polish people than Chicago is Poland.

Hey, I play some of that crap occasionally in my car. Then again, I also rock out to tubthumping and Eiffel 65 at times. However, I definitely do not consider that rap. It's more club/pop music to me.

Also, I love when people think I'm racially confused with my stereo. It's even funnier when I switch from something ghetto to old white-guy tunes like Rush or Zeppelin.

Adam - how do you feel about an open box netbook from newegg?

You planning on re-installing the OS? And which one?

Generally, I'm for getting the open box/refurbs IF you are computer savvy enough to format it once you first get it. If you can do that, you're probably intelligent enough to diagnose hardware issues and get it fixed under the (generally) shorter warranty period. You should install the OS from scratch anyway. I'm not sure that a pre-built computer exists out there that doesn't have some form of bloatware on it...
