Come to think of it, in college all of the asians carried umbrellas when it was drizzling, even if only a little bit. And they were huge umbrellas; like eight feet in diameter. And even though they were holding the umbrella above their heads, their small stature put them in line with mine. So, I had to either jump off the sidewalk or get stabbed in the face with an umbrella whilst walking to class. It probably would've helped if they watched where they were going.

I hate umbrellas. And asians.

I'm sure it didn't help that I am a *former* customer, but it really makes me think. How many people switch carriers and have AT&T overcharge them on the last bill? And how many of those people don't pay attention to it and just pay up? And how is it possible that I understand how AT&T's payment system works better than their reps. For example, I received a bill on 8/12/10 for $83.39 due by 9/1/10. This was for the cycle period 8/6/10-9/5/10. The bill was paid, in full, on 8/15/10. The rep on the phone told me that the payment on 8/15 was for the bill I had received on 7/12/10 (coincidentally also for the same amount) that covered the period 7/6/10-8/5/10. Unfortunately for him, the bill from 7/12 was due by 8/1, which means that if he were correct, I've been paying every bill I have EVER received from AT&T about 2-3 weeks late. Yet, I had never been charged a late fee up until my closing balance.

What was even more fun, was that the bill on 6/12 was a different amount (by like a dollar) and was paid on 6/18 I think. It took me about half an hour to explain (using the three bills from 6/12, 7/12 and 8/12) that the account was paid in-full before the final balance and on time. Once I got to that point he had to put me on hold and look up some more information. Conveniently, he transferred me to iPhone support instead. I think that support rep noticed I was furious after she asked "do you have an iPhone?" and I responded (trying to hold back my anger as best I could) "I'm on Verizon".
