I dont call it rice, I just call it poor taste. "JDM" stuff isnt in poor taste, because most of the stuff is either a) OEM equipment, b) very clean or c) just not availible in the US.
I really dont care whats in the tokyo auto salon, unless its performance parts for my car. I dont care what car its on or what show it is at, if its ugly to me, its ugly to me. If its a useless show peice, its a useless show peice. Some things have real world aplication, or can be "done right", but for the most part its stuff that makes me want to shake my head when i see it on the street. Myself, I dont think lambo doors are bad, I would put them on my car if the price was right (which it isnt).
This whole "JDM is rice" thing is just another glaring example of the anti-popularity trend (such as the anti-SR trend as of late). So what if people like to buy parts that you dont see every day? Are you going to hate them for it?
