im sure everyone has done something to their car that someone on these boards would consider "ricey", IMO it a way of self expression so F&*K what everyone thinks about your car, its you do what you pleas.

I don't hate other people because they have "nicer mods" than me. I personally prefer fuction before form. He was asking opinions. I stated mine. If you had actually read what i wrote and knew what you were talking about, you would understand that the sr does come in the 180sx(of which the 240 is based on).And before you start to talk **** about something you know nothing about do a little research. You know nothing about me and how "poor as fawk" I may be. I do what I can when I can. The bottom line is I love my 240 just as everyone else does. I certainly don't think my car is better than all the stock ones out there. My mods just make it mine. Last time I checked it did require at least a little bit of money to own your own home in SoCal.

bah, unless you intend to lower your car to where the doors will hit curbs upon opening or you just really really wanna park in the compact car spaces and still be able to get out, I don't see much point in it, all it's gonna be is added weight and make the car look like a retarded rabbit when both doors are open.

and imagine getting in and out when the lift assist system decides to fail one day:D

Not everyone. No vehicle I've ever owned has had anything ricey on it. And as far as "lambo doors", to do it requires spending almost as much as the dang car is worth. So is it worth spending all that money to have doors that'll impress your buddies maybe once? If you answer yes, then by all means do it.

I really cant think of a single piece of rice I've had on my car...they've all been totally stock except this one, and the only thing you can see is the intercooler (despite my attempts to hide it with black mesh grilling) and 3 inch exhaust, no aftermarket wheels, no fancy paint job, NOTHING...there isn't even a tip on my exhaust, just a 3 inch pipe sticking out from under the bumper, and its about to get sprayed with black header paint as soon as I buy some...As for quality parts, thats a given...but just because a part is from a certain company doesn't mean its quality, I judge that on an individual, part by part basis. i havent looked at what the price for lambo doors is but i imagine it doesnt cost to much to make. its only a bracket with some hinges and that lift assist device. they must inflate the price a lot and make a decent profit

Bottom line is, do what ever you want with your car. Its your money, not theirs. You mod your car to please yourself, not other people.

I've been moding my other car to the point that "some" people think Im waisting my money. I dont give a crap, I've had magazine coverages already so who cares what they think.

Well, I only read half of this post before yawning but I have a view on "rice". Rice in the slang term as it applies to vehicle modifications is a word to describe "tackiness" in my opinion ... tackiness to the point of absolutely no HP gains and destroying a car's natural beauty. In other words, looking like a race car, but not living up to it ... talkin' the talk but not walkin' the walk. Sure, chalk it up to personal expression ... but that's what makes everyone different and why we all don't agree on the same things or share the same tastes. Some people just have different priorities. Maybe, just maybe some of those "ricey" car owners should not have bought that big muffler, those cheap wheel and tire combos, that paint job and stickers, those aftermarket headlamps and tail lamps, that wing, that CF hood, that huge tachometer, those race seats, etc ... After spending all of that money on goods to "look" like a race car, they probably could have had a decent bolt-on turbo or built NA engine and be "living" the race car image. I full heartedly agree with the "it's your car do what you want to it" statements ... I just have different priorities

Way to put it Bomex. Lam doors would be awesome! I hate trying to get out of crammed parking space. this way you wont bump into another car door. i would definitely get one if I had the money. of course, performance first.

I agree with you. I could be one of those people. Of course being married with a child and a mortgage makes my spending priorities different from, say, a teen who lives free at home with his parents picking up most of life's expenses. It's not a waste of money if you can afford it and if it brings you happiness.

i hust wonder how the hell you dont keep wackign your head on thos doors if ya get em, they are right in your path lol, i mean thast the only prob id have with em it seems they swing only high enought to where it looks liek you go tot crawl under em, but maybe its just thos pics were at bad angels. any way take it eays guys.

wait on futher looking at the pics i take all thsi back they swing fine i just didnt see the side pic lol, o well all that rambling for nothing

Rice is good. I eat it all the time. Lambo doors are cool cuz its too expensive to get a real lambo, might as well get the doors while u can then later u can get the frame.

after seeing this pic it makes me think "maybe these specific lambo doors are NOT functional" look at how far out the doors go...i want ones that nearly rotate it straight up and down...did anyone see that koneiseigg best motoring? like those doors
