Modifying you car isn't fun unless you do most of the work yourself. If something goes wrong, you know where to start looking. Plus, I hear that KP Technology has great technical support. If you can splice wires and solder, or use taps, you really should do this yourself.hangtime23 wrote:I'm just wondering, since this is not plug and play, I'd likely be taking these things into a local shop to get them installed, any idea on how much they'd charge for labour to install mods like these?
yeah, the thing is, I really suck at soldering or splicing wires...so I'd rather take this into a shop to get it done, any idea how much it'd cost?mpbclutch33 wrote:

+1 for the food/drink comment... +1 for asking for help here and hopefully a local NICOer will come to the rescue, or atleast send you to a trusted shop that wont scalp you!KPierson wrote:We have found the best way to go is find a local "friend" to help with the installation - someone who may work for food and/or drink. If you can't find anyone that is willing then ask around a local forum for a shop recomendation and go that route.

That being said, I can't quote you a price because they range drastically. We have found the best way to go is find a local "friend" to help with the installation - someone who may work for food and/or drink. If you can't find anyone that is willing then ask around a local forum for a shop recomendation and go that route. Once you have a shop (or shops) scoped out you can take the products to them and discuss pricing with them. Most shops will charge an hourly rate instead of a flat rate for our products. It is therefore in your best interest to provide as much information as possible to the installer to speed up the installation (like links to our forums where they can find detailed pictures) or even the electronic service manual IF you know how to read it.
