^yay! I have those same plates too (if they are the guy from eBay) they are PVC iirc, so not the best material for speaker mounting. I'm going to use mine as a template one day to make some from 3/8" MDF for the flat part, some flexible MDF for a bit of the back (to make the speaker angle towards and up at the driver) then coat it with fiberglass or sealant (to protect it from moisture. But that's when I decide to hassle with it (maybe next summer) I strongly suggest some Dynamat extreme on the plate, around the plate on the door sheetmetal, and behind the plate on the outer skin metal (just a large patch directly behind the speaker. Helped my components to have better mid-bass response.
