Damn Briz, sorry about the HG haha. At least it looks good, I really don't like those wheels but they look good on your car, and 2-tone ftw!

I was thinking about getting this turbo and doing my t3 bottom mount project, but even though it's a t3 it's smaller than my current t2 turbo haha.

The T2 is ok if it's a GT2870 or something...to small otherwise.

T3/TO4E in a .48AR hotside ftw Chris.

^this, great cheap set up for street turbo KA's, awesome spool and torque.
I only drink diet sodas now. I lost about 20 lbs yrs ago just by doing this. I have to have the caffiene though, get headaches otherwise. Plus, like Adrian, I'm a coffee guy now, never used to be, but am now.
Razi, I enjoy drinking and getting a buzz, but stopping there. I don't like getting trashed bc I like remembering things and oh yeah, I get hungover super easy, so screw that lol.

Haha thanks man, but I'm gonna pass on this turbo. If it were a 60 trim wheel I'd be all over it, but unfortunately it's not.

My t2 supposedly flows 3 lbs/hour more than the gt28rs. It's a TB2804, has a 60 trim .60 a/r compressor and a 53mm .86 a/r turbine. I'll most likely stay with for a long while, though it does need a rebuild now :(

what do you think about this turbo? I think it's a garrett "super 60" I think it would support over 250hp though, i'm thinking more like 350hp at 15psi on a KA

what caught my attention was the tighter turbine and compressor housing which should be perfect for a low/moderate boost street KA-T setup I already asked the guy and he said the CHRA is dry so no oil lines and the turbine housing is the standard ford style 5 bolt

Wow that's cheap compared to a new S15 turbo.

WD, I'm thinking about putting a cooler on my turbo's water feed line.
What size and type of cooler do you recommend?

That dude is probably good over 300, but it's going to depend on the tune and how much timing is pulled out etc. The best way to use a smaller turbo is to get a IAT sensor and cockpit gauge to monitor the temps. If it starts to get really hot you'll want to lower the boost. Or run alky/water injection and just turn the boost up until it drops off because the compressor can't support the volume. Then run a few psi less so as not to grenade the turbo. Since it'll be spinning at like a billion + - 2 hundred rpm :chuckle:

When it comes to cooler, I'm all about the "bigger is better" theory. You can get a trans cooler out of the junkyard for cheap cheap, say off of any old GM truck/blazer. Adding any cooler at all inline will be a good thing. If you're willing to do that, you should really look into making the entire underhood area more efficient. You can probably pick up another 25whp by insulating and cooling. Anyone can keep adding fuel and boost, but it not many people make gobs of power unless they're running 15+ psi. I'd like to make over 300 and keep the boost at 10 psi.

^that's partly why I've wrapped my hotpipe with exhaust wrap. That alone made the enigne bay feel significantly cooler after driving. Now I need to pop the exh. mani off for extrude hone and some type of heat coating. I need to wrap the turbo elbow and DP too.

that's what i thought, I shouldve pulled up the volumetric efficiency graph
Image

15 psi and 350hp:

pressure ratio:
15psi + 14.7psi(atmosphere) / 14.7 psi = 29.7psi (in manifold)/ 14.7psi (atmosphere) = 2.02

Air flow:
350hp + 12.5 a/f ratio + .55/60(fuel per hp in min, from garrett's website) = 40.1 lbs/min

i think there's more work to be done with engine displacement/engine efficiency but it looks like 350 efficient hp is not gonna happen with this turbo lol

This is a must try for those that smoke.

http://www.ithacahemp.com/site/departme ... &killnav=1

I've tried all 3, they are all pretty damn good. I prefer Mr Nice Guy a bit more then the other 2. It's legal in most states. I know CA, MA, TX and PA are 100% legal, they have a link to the info on there site. Anyway...stuff is good. If you decide to try some, start with just a little bit. I had 3 hits and was stricken retarded...just sat on the bed watching ESPN because reaching to get the remote, navigating the guide and selecting a new show was simply more then I could bare.

LEGAL ftmfw :mike

Expect a maryjane like feeling. Duration of medicated feeling is on par with mj, maybe a tad longer. Like I said above, start slow. The effects can come on strong if you smoke to much and you can get dizzy etc, plus you never know how the body is going to react to a new chemical. So don't just try it if you're about to go shopping, unless you want to come home with 12 different kinds of fudge brownies, 2 bottles of Sunny D and 4-5 items that they sell in that damn checkout line.

The active ingredient (lol) works on the same receptors in the brain as THC :yesnod

That company is up in NY near where my wife grew up. The people there are awesome, I fat fingered a key when I was ordering, So one of the guys called me as they were loading up orders to send out and punched in my CC info right then. He was like, I see this is your first order, wouldn't want you to wait any longer then you have to. He made some jokes about fat fingering laptop keys and finished my order. I wish I got that kind of service everywhere.
