Believe there is a couple Z31s in the Winston Pullapart if you are around anytime. I don't plan on going there anytime soon as they don't have any S chassis right now. Let you know if I do.

Edit, showing 1 Z31, a 1986.

how did you guy's mount the battery mount in the rear? What do I need to drill into? what types of battery tie down/mounts did you guys use?

I don't know if you can do this in the S13, but I think my friend found some spots with unused factory bolts or something.
Then he put some pink nail polish on the top of the bolts, put the battery box on top of it, then poked holes where it was pink, and mounted it up.

The box was just a plastic one from Autozone I think.

After my oil change on my Vert last weekend, my new summer project is oil filter relocation on it. Of course the ebay setup I put on my coupe is no longer available and not sure where I'll put the filter on the Vert since the battery is in the normal place on it.

I'll take a picture of where I put my battery in a bit, I put it behind the passenger seat on the floor pan. I mounted the tie down horizontally so it pulls the battery against the little wall where your heels would go if you were sitting in the back seat. If you want a smaller battery look into Deka batteries, they are cheaper than brailes. I also got the relocation cable from a BMW at the junkyard, cost like 10 dollars and is like 15' long haha.

Winston is pretty far, unfortunately not heading out there anytime soon. The LKQ in Garner has 3 240's, I'm planning on heading out there this weekend if you need anything.

Don't really need anything. I just go out there and grab things I "might" need or can sell.

I have stock piled enough ECUs and power window switches for now.

Oh, there is a CN dyno day Saturday if you're interested:

I swear every time there is a CN event I can't make it. I'm going home for a wedding this weekend so I won't be able to make it.

So, after a couple of weeks of prepping for boards and just working otherwise, I took my licensure exam today (NCLEX-RN) Had the minimum number of questions you can get and had a ton of select all that apply and priority questions (these two types are supposed to be the most difficult). The registration service will not allow me to re-register and pay for another exam date. We call this the PearsonVue trick. If it won't let you re-register to pay, it means you passed your exam. Should get the official results by Tues or Wed night.

Adrian, for my battery relocation, I bought this box (not from this seller though), prepped it, primed it, painted it satin black.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Optima-Welded-S ... bc&vxp=mtr

then drilled through the rear passenger's floorboard and bolted it down using grade 8 bolts and grade 8 nylon lock nuts. When I pushed the tray all the way against the driveshaft tunnel, two of the bolt holes went through the frame rail and the other two just through the floorpan. This left the fuel hard lines smack in the middle of the bolts (don't worry, I took measurements before I drilled lol) I used some grade washers to reinforce the non-frame rail side. Only thing that sucks is the bolts/nuts hang below the frame rail about 3/4 of an inch. Not much issue for me, but I'm not as low as you are. Also, get some high quality 0-gauge power wire, welding wire is usually cheaper than car audio wire, but still super flexible, heat and chemical resistant, super low resistance, etc. All you'd want in battery wire. Then you'll run it to the factory terminal on the starter solenoid. Place a fuse or circuit breaker (150amps is good) in the wire no more than 18 inches from the battery. Make sure that ground wire is no more than 18 inches in length.

Sorry, haven't posted in awhile, so getting my forum whore on lol. I bought the steel tray, bc my head is important to me and I don't trust a plastic box with a tie strap meant for marine applicationswhen I move a 35+lb hunk of battery inside the cabin. I really need to have a piece of 16g steel welded to the underside where those two bolts don't go through the frame rail to properly re-inforce it, instead of some large grade 8 washers. I take some pics tomorrow and load them up for reference.
Also, the car has been running great since the re-tune and mileage isn't too bad, about 23.5-24 around town.

oh crap, this thing looks nice! thanks for the suggestion!

good luck on the NCLEX-RN. Nursing over here in southern california is hella impacted... I know because my sister's trying to get into the program. She's already finished her pre-reqs and I believe now she's just on a waiting list. But then again, California's education system is all f*** up... so that might be related too

^lol, yeah, the tray is excellent quality and more than capable of holding the ~38lbs optima battery in place. Stamping those dimples in sheet steel greatly increases it's strength and resistance to bending. I have an official license # and am starting orientation as an RN in my ER. I'm stoked! Esp. bc my ER is a level 2 trauma center, so after ~1 yr exp. I'll have all the certifications I need to go pretty much anywhere :)

Even to the moon!?!?!? Congrats man, so are you finally done with school?

My lower radiator support managed to detach itself from the frame rail allowing my tension rod bracket, tension rod, and ultimately LCA to move back and forth. Continuously variable caster ftw! I'm welding it back together soon, but that explains all the problems I've had with my alignment recently.

Yeah, I didn't get any before pictures, but we managed to hook my roommate's Jeep to the tow hook on the left side frame rail with a chain and pull it close to the rad support for welding. Here's what we ended up with, we couldn't get to the underside but this should hold it well enough seeing as it's just tack welded from the factory.

 Detached radiator core support? I think I need to strip my car down and have it completely seam welded, with bracing added in as well bc that's nuts. Chris, I'm done with school for now, but I do intend to return for graduate work one day. That way, I can go to the moon lol :gapteeth:

We mostly had to work on my mom's Q45 on the 4th. :(
But we got to eat some good steak afterwards. :D
