So, I have had a few beers, but this doesn't make sense to me.
Razi, saw your post in your boost thread. I personally think that running a t-stat that opens at 62 celsius (143.6 degrees farenheit) on a street car is not a good idea. That's too cold. Unless you're beating on the car at the track constantly, you shouldn't need a colder t-stat. If you're having a lot of running hot problems, you might need to make sure you don't have a bad HG, leaks, pressure test the cooling system, check the waterpump, clean your A/C condensor, etc. You'd be surprised how much crap was built up on mine completely blocking airflow. I have only ever used the stock thermo that opens at 170 and I run around 185 (that's when I have my fans turn on) even in bumper to bumper traffic in the summer (like that one 3 hour trip to ATL on a friday  It usually takes 1.5 hours to get where I was going. Traffic sucked) Anyway, running too cold of a t-stat makes it harder to get your oil temps in the right temp range and running too cold of an oil temp will kill your bearings in the long run. My .02 Engine bay looks great btw.

Hmm.
Noted!

The Nismo t-stat does seem a bit too cold, I wish it opened a bit later. I forgot the stock one opened at 170, I thought it opened much later for some reason haha.
I thought the turbo stuff might bump the operating temps up a little bit, but it's good to hear yours is fine.

I hate installing thermostats, I've installed and uninstalled them like 10 times by now.
Winter semester ends this week though, so I'll have plenty of time to install the t-stat during the few days break.

I need to check my temps with an aftermarket gauge, but mine hovers right at the midway point on the old stock gauge. I have S14 AC fans attached to a Koyo and the Nismo stat.

has anyone hooked up aftermarket e-fans to the stock a/c fan circuit?

I was looking at the FSM and the A/C fan kicks on "low" at 95 degrees C and then "high" at 100 degrees C. When the A/C is on it is on "low" all the time and then "high" at 100 degrees C

I might be getting a pair of mishimoto e-fans with the shroud and I'm thinking hooking up the fans to the stock a/c fan wires should work

Definitely need to double check. Mine stock gauge shows the same as yours when my motor is between ~130-190 degree, huge difference.

I guess you'd have to check the amp draw on the mishimoto fans and compare to what the A/C circuit can handle.

Josh - I have my dual altima fans wired kinda like that, one of them is always on, and the other one is hooked up to the stock a/c fan circuit so it comes on when I turn the a/c on. I didn't even think about the amp draw, but the altima's fan motor burned out a while back and I replaced it with the motor from the stock a/c fan, so it's technically the same fan that used to be in the circuit haha.

For the alitma fans they have the same connector as the stock fan, so you can just plug one of them up.

I think one of the fans on the altima work like our A/C fan does.
Then the other one is usually constantly running like our clutch fan.

Wow, that's not much at all. Most e-fans pull b/t 10-30 amps each (usually the higher the CFM, the greater the amp draw). What CFM are they rated at? Btw, time to change your sig to match the new wheels :) Also, after four months of waiting, I finally got my new IACV in. It was worth it though, $99 + 15 for shipping for an OEM IACV instead of paying FRsport $420 + shipping for one bc they have it in stock.

^nice, how's it workin out?

here's the specs for the mishi 10" fan
CFM: 850.1
Fan Diameter: 255mm
Fan RPM: 2351
Number of Blades :10
Current: ~6.8A
Voltage: 12.3V
Amps: 5.1
Velocity Ft/Min: 660
Inlet Pressure While Tested: -0.03
Air Temp While Tested: 62.2 (degrees F)

I don't know if I should have one fan come on with my ignition or just splice both of them into my a/c circuit..the only drawback to the latter I would imagine would be a restriction in the wire itself powering both fans. Or I could do one fan for the "low" circuit and the other fan for the "high" circuit..but then I don't know if the low fan shuts off when the high is turned on. I think the ECU increases the voltage to the fan making it spin faster.

I guess you could wire one to the A/C, then wire the other to a temp sensitive relay.

i think the smartest way would be wiring 1 to ignition and one to the a/c fan circuit. This way, one fan is always one and the other fan is on when needed isn't that how the stock altima fans work?

Not really sure.

Maybe I can take a look at the fans next time I'm in my friend's Altima.

Altima fans actually are wired together. They have 2 connections, but when one connector is on both fans are on low, when both connectors are on both fans are on high.
