I have no blackberry. He's on Facebook some. I don't know, sometimes I go through stages where I'm hardly online bc of school and work. That might happen more often once the semester starts up esp. since I'm working full-time now.

Wow, you must be every lady's dream  lol j/k bud.
So, I put the hooptie in the air to change a suspension bolt (the eccentric bolt) for the camber arm. When I tightened it down after installing the SPL arms, it stripped the washer (the part that extends and sits in the groove inside the bolt). When I was jacking it up, the front passenger's side started dripping this clear fluid. I thought it was brake fluid (having swapped the calipers, rotors, & lines over the summer), but I couldn't find anything. Turns out it was the fluid from the damper on the Stance LX coils. It busted. I've only put about ~4000 miles on the set in the past year & this one started leaking :ohno: Called Stance yesterday, sent them my invoice from 240sxmotoring and they called back today. I bought a new coilover for the front and they'll reimburse me once they get the old one back. I only pay $24 shipping in the end, pretty good deal. Nick, their rep, said it will ship out tomorrow too :) I originally spoke w/him & he said that this happened occasionally with the LX's, but wasn't too common. Hope none of the others pop esp. considering the mileage. Though I have to to say that this one also felt/sounded weird since install. It might have been bad right off the bat.

:p I know man, just giving you a hard time.
Side notes:
This "you may embed only 2 quotes within each other" is driving my bonkers
Some idiot swapped an 18mm socket onto a 16mm holder at the store. I needed a 16mm and some other items yesterday, got home, found out what had happened. Have to make return trip just for that
Yeah Razi, Stance has been pretty on point with service & speed with handling my claim.

Got the replacement unit in from Stance already and got the old swapped out with the new. It is really windy and kinda cold out, so that sucks, but since the new one came in so quickly, I'll be able to finally get new tires and an alignment next week! :)

HEY YOU GUYS!

I've had oil pressure problems FOREVER, but I think I fixed it. I was on my way back to school and I decided to take back roads. Well on one of these roads there was a huge 6" deep and like 10" long dip in the road that I didn't see until it was too late and I hit it really hard. I wasn't going that fast, but I for sure hit my tension rod brackets and probably my front sway bar. Here's the weird thing...after that I checked my oil pressure, it was back to normal! Like it's right where it's supposed to be, 20 psi increase for every 1k rpm. Here's what I think happened. Either:

a) My pressure relief spring inside the pump has been stuck open this whole time so my engine has had little oil pressure. The shock of hitting the dip somehow dislodged the spring and now my pump is working like it should.

b) I put a nasty dent in my oil pan and the restriction is causing higher pressure, which would be bad.

There are 2 things though...a restriction before the pump (i.e. in the pan) would make the pump get less oil, meaning lower pressures post-pump, and the sender would see lower oil pressure. A restriction after the pump but before the sender would make for higher pressures, meaning a dent in the oil pan would not make the sender see higher pressure. Also, I've had a really weird whining noise come from the pump for the past few weeks, and during a cold start it would take like 15 seconds for the oil light on the cluster to go off and the pump to build pressure. Now when I start my car it builds pressure instantly like it normally should, and there is no noise. Think a shock could have really fixed it?

Sorry for the wall of text, I'm in awe if this really fixed my oil pressure problems haha. I'm going out to check the pan right now, I just wanted to see what you guys think about it haha.

Hahahahaha.
Bumps fixing things ftw!

Back when my speakers had horrible wiring I'd speed up for bumps to get all 4 speakers working, then slow down on bumps so they stay working.

I don't think it's a dent that's causing your high pressure though, a bad oil pan would only lower oil pressure I would think.

That's what I think, a restriction before the pump should just have less volume post-pump. Here are the pictures though, it looks really bad :(

new oil pan time. id take your front cover off and take check your oil pump system. those gears like to go bad in higher mileage kas ive been hearing alot. im replacing mine with oem nissan ones soon for my new engine cause its like only 50 dollars of parts on courtesy parts and well worth the secuirty imo. also i heard 2 or 3 years ago about people using the pump or gear out of a different nissan that apparently was much better? (idk if it was like more flow or what i forget)

I have an engine I'm in the process of building, I actually just got the new oil pump gears and pressure valve spring from the dealership a few days ago, so the pump will be rebuilt with this other engine. It's weird though, the pump no longer makes any noise and my pressure it perfect. What sucks is this pan is less than a year old, and it has my oil drain fitting already welded on. I'll see if I can hammer it out when I take it off to switch it to the new engine once it's done being rebuilt, but I might have to go ahead and spring for a new pan. Lameee.

when i rebuilt my motor I found one of those blue shop towels sucked in the oil pickup lol I'm guessing i left it in there when i dropped my oil pan to do the oil drain. I never had any problems with it (I don't think as i never had a gauge)
