Would anyone be interested in a stainless steel log style KA-T manifold for $350?

I'd be able to do T3, T4, etc. flanges on them... internal and external wastegate choice.

I could get ahold of a SOHC KA as well and fab up one for you SOHC guys if theres good interest there as well :)

would these allow you to still use your air conditioning on the S14? If so, I maybe interested.

This could be something we can try to keep in consideration. I'll look further into it.

It would be nicer if there was a package that came with a manifold, turbo, and downpipe, since the majority of the people don't have access to a welder (or can afford downtime on their daily driver).

Fully welded and ready to go... it's also fitted with an external wastegate pipe and flange (Tial, not some crappy Deltagate)... it's similar to the JGS however offers an option to those that want something ready to go out of the box. We also are producing our exhaust manifolds out of stainless steel, which JGS may or may not do.

So far we have the log portion developed and I'll get some pics of it... we will be designing the head flange very soon and should have something to show you guys by this upcoming weekend. However I might be upgrading the runner thickness to further increase the integrity of it.

This is something we have been looking into but we are taking it one step at a time :) We have a Z31 and a CT26 (Toyota OEM Turbo; about the size of a T04B) turbocharger we plan to use for clearance and test fitting.

The production of a downpipe is next on the list to complement the exhaust manifold.

BTW, forgot to mention that the manifolds will be available in internally wastegated form as well.

Excellent.

Actually, do you think you could just fab a block off for the external port so that if i wanted to upgrade later i could?

What does the manifold have to do with AC..??

The A/C line runs in the general vicinity of the turbocharger, which produces alot of heat and can melt the rubber A/c line causing the freon to expel.

Basically from what I've seen... you'll need to create some sort of ample heat shielding for the a/c lines (heat wrap should work fine) but as far as fitment I don't think the system will cause it to fail.

I'll play with the fitting, to make sure I'm not gonna cause it to become an issue, the best I can.

Theyre log style...so it will be more of a side mount. don't worry though, your turbo will be plenty visible

We more than likely will offer them in both configurations... however we haven't tested the top mount setup for clearance yet. I'll get that done today... what size turbos do you guys intend to use?

Yes, they will be easily visable, however he might want the top mount for clearance issues. This is where the log type excels because it's relatively short and small comparied to the long tubular designs.

sounds good!

...also, are you going to offer a few different configurations of turbo placement on the log, or is there going to be just one?

If (for top mount) it could be angled to keep some heat off of the brake master cylinder that woudl be good.

A downpipe would help too.

That would depend on the flange they use.

I would say that 60-80% of us are using turbos w/ a T3 flange. Then maybe a t04 option, or whatever flange the JDM(Sr/Ca) guys use.
