Primed the inside of the car today and finished stripping most of the paint. We had to taske the floor boards down to the metal in order to get rid of the possibility of some of the that good ole Nissan rust coming through later one, but it did not take too long at all and was kind of nice to do. I have to do the trunk and trunk lid arms tomorrow and then it is time to get started on some of the fun stuff like sanding the bondo I used to even out those flares and measuring for the sheet metal for the engine bay. Here are some pics.

Some hardcore stripper; 2 air hoses with die grinders and wire brush attachments and one frined to help = about 4 hours for the interior. Total time spent on the chasis as a whole so far is about 10 days. I have been busting my *** on it and even took vacation to the work up to this point.

While you are at it, besure dont forget to spot welds all the seams to improve the rigidness of the car.

I would love to spot weld it but when I approached it I realized that I did not have the tools (i.e. a rotisserie) to make sure that I did not warp the chasis. Being that S15's are still somewhat expensive, I decided not to go with spot welding. I will be installing other chasis reinforcements such as fender braces and an 8 point roll cage along with some other stuff to include a very comprehensive suspension set up to help deliver the power to the ground without totally screwing my chasis up. We will see how it turns out in the future.

I continued to clean out the trunk today and get it ready for primer but I wasn't ready to prime it at the end of the day. myself and a friend did manage to finish the caster thingie I dreamed up so now the car is rolling on 4 in wheels with like - 6,000 offset but at least we can move it in and out of the bay and get it out into the sun for paint and primer to harden when the chance arrives. Pics are below.

Sorry it took so long to update but I kept getting sent away on TAD trips. I am leaving again on Friday but I managed to get some work done. Hope you enjoy. I am looking to have it painted very soon but that depends on how much sanding I get done on Thursday afternoon.

- I mocked up the roll cage to determine where to drill the holes for it, finished up the fiber work in the engine bay, did the first round of sanding and applied the second coat of primer. It took forever to get the engine bay to look right but I think it is on its way to looking how I imagined when I started this project.

makes me want to reenlist to do a project like that. I am truly drinking the hater-ade. Great work bro. Please tell me your brining your baby home to the U.S. . No one here has a project like that. Would love to see it at a show or even driving on the road.

Yeah I will be bringing it back. I am dumping a metric **** ton of cash into it and a whole hell of alot of time so I may as well. I have never really done a car show in the States so I think that woud be interesting. I would really like to go to one that has a show and racing going on so I can show it off a little than go straight to the track afterwards.
