Just a thought>>2JZ

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

I'm sorry - but I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one.

The 2JZ is a phenomenal engine, knowing to put out 800 ponies with the stock bottom end. . .probably more, but that number is what I recall seeing last.

I don't believe an engine can be considered a dyno queen. I believe it depends on the car its in.

Now - that said - I think it being in the Supra, it points in every direction to "dyno queen" Heavy car. And I've yet to see a Supra that handles that well. . .

In a 240, yes could be dyno queen - but oo the possibilities.

And no I'm not trying to start any kind of argument, because in a way - yes you are right. . .But like I said, I really think it depends on the car it is in.

Who might you be asking. . .if me

DSM = cranky walk.

LOL - But in all seriousness - I bought a 92 Plymouth Lazer back when I was a sophomore in highschool for 50 bucks. I fixed it, got it running (turbo lock and cam gear exploded, along with bent valves, etc) and it was a great little car. . .

Until the slightly new stock turbo locked up. Again. I've got nothing against the enthusiasts, but I swear if I have to hear one more eclipse (N/A) decide to rev up at me with the tinging noises passing through the exhaust, I'm going to punch a baby (Dane Cook btw, its a joke)

Put the kind of money into a dsm that it would take to do an sr swap and your talking about some serious times... ive seen one do 11`s with a clutch, race gas, and a boost controller.

Was it purple?!?!? LOL only kidding.

But I would honestly love to see it. Any boosted car that will allow leaded fuel be fed to it consistently w/o fuel system upgrade(s) has award winner written all over it.

But I'm defiently not COMPLETELY knocking them. As stated above, that model (besides one of the Talon's) stated is an excellent car. But the mitsu engine IMO won't last long when pulling an eleven second time slip.

true but the initial cost of an awd turbo eclipse is more than teh initial cost of a 240. total price including cars 240 would be faster

S13 w/ no engine or transmission - $500SR20DET swap - roughly $3000Misc tune, ebay FMIC, bc etc - ROUGHLY $1800.*Total* $5,600Laughing at the kid that decides to buy an 1999 GSX Eclipse for $6,500. Priceless.

I probably have my calculations wrong - but by time you BUY the GSX, you could have already had yourself a 250+ hp car compared to the GSX's 190awhp (210 to flywheel)

Its N/A isn't it?

Glad to know the 240 is making a stand somewhere - I got pwn'd by a frikkin passat today. Wasn't anything major.

But god, seeing the old woman wave as she flew by really hurt in the soft spot
