Alright ladies and gentlemen. Its that time of year again. where the greatest spectator sport on earth (fuk soccer) is back again.

Who are you guys taking to in the nfl and the ncaa? I gotta go with my usual two teams with the Philadelphia Eagles ripping up the nfl and I think the longhorns will be really good if the new qb is worth anything.

I'm with you, IR - Football is the only sport that matters.

I'm a Falcons fan (since 1976), so I'm looking for a good season from my boys from "da derrty souf".

My very biased opinion is that the Colts are gonna be a surprise this year. The Edge is healthy as are the 3 back-ups RB's, with Rhodes, Mungro, and Allen. The D went from 28 to 8 in the league last year and they have matured even more. Look out for Dwight Freeny. Maybe 20 sacks this year. He 13 in 8 games started last year as a rookie. Reggie Wayne is finally a good compliment to Marvin on the outside and Peyton is going to be gunnslingging'em this year. But, they could just bust like always.

As for the NCAA, I would have said Ohio State, but I'm not sure how much of an impact the Maurice Clarret situation will have on the offense. So, I guess I am going with Oklahoma. I also think that Notre Dame should be watched. They have a tough schedule, Florida State, USC, Washington St., Michigan and Michaigan State, Purdue, Syracuse, BC and Pitt just to name a few, so if they that start winning, they are going to jump to No. 1 quick. Soldi D that returns most the starters and the Offense actually looks solid this year.

Ravens are coming back. Any team that can lose 17 starters and win 7 games and stay in playoff contention until the last week is definitely the greatest.

and The Maryland Terrapins are gonna kick some more *** .

Giants Rule. Iggles are not going to be as good as the pundits say. With Brian Mitchell now a Giant , and Hugh Douglas gone, And with Duce Staley, one of the better blocking backs out there, holding out, defensive lines are going to tee off on Donovan McNabb, NFC East should be fun to watch this year.

its sad but my favorite 2 teams are in the same division (cowboys and eagles). Usually when ones up ones down so it works out fine.

Everyone always says the eagles are going to bad this year, and it never happens. Brian mitchell wasnt a major loss for us at all and as far as Duce is concerned, buckhalter(sp) was WAY better than him before his injury and hes healthy this year. If offensive lines can tee off on a running QB with one of the best offensive lines in football by all means they deserve to. Hugh was a loss that leaves a little question mark. you can never really beat the eagles by throwing it since we have the best corner combo in all the land, but now we may not have a good "run stopper". but no one in the nfc east worrys me. The only team im worried about is the bucs.

Hope everyone knows the AFC is going to get blasted by whoever comes out the NFC.

and yes, Longhorns woot.

Kansas City Chiefs are going all the way. Forget about the Priest Holmes injury rumors. I know the Cheifs DB coach and he says Priest is *better* than last year. Also, the Defense will get better as will our already best in the league offense. :)

oh yeah when the eagles and the boys play im hoping that one just doesnt have a shot at the playoffs so when they lose its okay. In the years they are both good (1992) I just kinda hope theres another game on and catch the sportscenter.

A word from the grammar police:

One thing that irks me is when people misuse the phrase: "could care less". If you could care less then that means you do care about it. If you "couldn't care less" (proper phrase) then you don't care for something at all.

im a big english freak too, particularly mispronounciation of words, but "could care less" has became slang so its somewhat exempt from proper english.

Soccer would rule if you could tackle... And if it had fights like hockey.

Otherwise, it's a wuss sport.

Lacrosse, Rugby, Aussie Rules, American Foozbawl - Those are the REAL sports. :D

im not into lacrosse but i can respect the physicality and hell if jim brown played it, it cant be all bad (and he was the best ever at that too!) Hockey is way too boring but once again the physical element demands respect.

Anyone else think that ohio state isnt going to be near the team they where w/o clarrett?

OSU needs to play a tougher schedule before I acknowledge the fluke in the championship wasn't one. I don't like Miami either and I root for the Jayhawks (who are ranked 84th pre-season :() but I still have me opinions. :)

I have a feelin the Chiefs are gonna go all the way this year. They're offense was just brilliant last year and with a bolstered D and Priest in tip-top form, other teams ain't got a prayer.

Now I love football but it's my third fave sport, behind baseball and boxing.

My (long) college football prediction

OSU will NOT retain their championship. Last year was a fluke. Their offense is so-so. It was their defense that kept them in the games giving the offense opportunities. This year they have to replace 5 starters on D. They won't even make a BCS bowl.

90Q45-OSU, Okie, and Miami have the top 3 thoughest schedules in the nation right now.

I'd watch out for Michigan and Miami this year. Mich-John Navarre. Heisman Canidate. Great D. Mich vs. OSU will decide big ten titleMiami-Brock Berlin, who started for Spurrier so he must be good, Outstanding D. (Their entire secondary are on the Jim Thope canidate list, and some if not all LB's are canidates for Top LB)Frank Gore, he would have started over McGahee. And we all know how good McGahee is. So what's that tell ya?Finally, Kellen Winslow Jr. Need I say more? Could be first tight end to win Heisman.

Oklahoma- Great D, but no proven QB callin shots.KSU-Great QB, but a crappy schedule(as usual) will get no respect.Auburn-could surprise a few people. Awesome LB's and Cadillac Williams, but playing in the tough SEC. Texas-Roy Williams, but again not a really proven QB.^^^Those are really the only teams that matter/have a chance of tastin some Sugar

pics-Mich-BCSMiami-BCSOkie-BCSAuburn-BCSGeorgia-BCSTexas-BCSVa Tech-BCSLSU(that's right)-BCS

OSU-who gives a rats *** bowl, along with Nebraska

Anybody got College Football Q's talk to me
