I got a real car with real potential and a real following. which is why i got my 240.

i must admit that the cavy was a lot of fun while it lasted.

I love my 240
Agreed, seriously, I've owned 2 Cavaliers and yeah you can make any turd fast if you boost it. They DO NOT compare to the 240 whatsoever. The balance and handling of the 240 is in a totally different class of vehicles. A fwd is a fwd and never more than that. Having your drive wheels with the steering is just unnatural for a true sports car. So to answer the question, YES there is such a thing as a fast Cavalier (I have beat a V8 Mustang from light to light with one) but can you build one to perform......NO.

Car looks good in blue.

I think I have your caliper story beat though. I had a set of GT-R front brakes I pulled from a buddies Silvia. They were both left hand calipers.

I noticed it immediately but I wanted the big brakes so I didn't care. It was weird though, how the hell did that happen? I always joked someday I would find someone with two right hand calipers and we trade.

Haha nice. i wonder why they made them where theyd interchange. They shoulda made sr and ka harnesses interchang and rb and ka and sr mounts all the same! thatd save a lot of money.

The new cobalt SS's with the turbochargers are alright cars, alot of places are making GT2871R kits for them and making really nice power.

yea, i had a cavalier. i have jumped it, slammed it, crashed it. other than the car being a piece of poop there is really nothin more to it. by the way i guess its cool trying to look like a grandma driver or some sort of crazy redneck ricer (if thats even possible, i dont think rednecks even eat rice. lol).

this reminds me that this thread is EPIC FAIL!!!

Thanks for giving me some great laughs with this thread of fail. And what is this "no lift" feature on the new Cobalt?? It sounds pretty smart to me.

let's take that one step further, why not just make one engine and install it into every model?

Didn't they already make one? Isn't that what the genesis motor is based on?

First of all, even through my hatred for hyundai I know the genesis has 2 engine options right out of the box. So you're wrong right away. The base models get the turbo 4 cyl (2L?) and the GT models get a v6. V6 is a waste of time if u ask me boosted 4cyl all the way.But I'd probably never own a hyundai anyway :P

This thread is so old nali that mods probably cared less around that time.

You do realize that with the exception of Corvettes and certain Camaro's all GM cars are governed to 99 mph right? Have been since the mid nineties.

I have only ever seen 2 break 100mph. One was boosted, the other was running an engine built for spray. Both had worked ECU's.It is pretty irrelevant though.

yeah if you look even closer you will notice that the first set of kmph are erased, and the needles are skinnier. and no gear will get you at that speed at 8000 rpms. you also left a little bit of the needle on the 0
