Got a quick question, can i use the SOHC maf on a DOHC ka?? Cause this weekend im going to put the new coolant temp sensor in and get a new O2 sensor to see if that helps the situations. I thought might as well try switching the mafs...

Well after putting in the new coolant temp sensor and the o2 sensor, it didn't make no difference. So then, my neighbor started to help me, and he started pulling the injector plugs and when he pulled the 2nd injector plug, nothing happened. So im gonna get a new injector and put it in!! That was the problem the whole time lol...

Well I put the new injector in and no luck :frown: , it still miss fires. But i took the spark plugs out to re-gap them and they looked like this:
Image

So is it picking up oil? If so what can i do at this time?? And on a side note when i spray carb cleaner into the sir filter the idle is more stable and it sounds a whole lot better, like its not even miss firing.

The motor is rebuilt and when i hold it, say around, 1.5k rpms, its more smooth than what its like at idle. Also when i spray the maf cleaner into the filter the idle gets better. Ill try check for leaks at the egr block off plate tomorrow...

Have you re-torqued the headgasket? Did you re-use the head bolts or did you get new ones? What is your entire setup, list your mods please. You may want to look into getting a replacement O2 (Lambada) sensor.

Well the mod list is as follows:
-Head was decreased, pressure washed and tested
-New OEM pistons, rings and King bearings
-ARP rod bolts, mains, and head studs
-Cometic MLS headgasket
-Nismo colder thermostat
-Agency Power silicon rad hoses
-Godspeed rad with 2 12' e-fans
-New #2 fuel injector, the old one wasn't spraying
-New rotor, cap, plugs, wires and coil
-New engine coolant temp sensor
-New O2 sensor
-Cleaned the IACV
-Emissions removed
-5 speed swap
-Meagan headers, down pipe, test pipe to a ebay 3in exhaust with 4 in tip
-Circuit Sports polyurethane motor, transmission mounts and coolant overflow tank
-MRG Copper Exhaust Manifold Gasket
-Autozone air filter

That's all i can remember as of right now!

I built it and the idle goes up, say it idles at 750 with a miss fire and it'll go to 850 and be more stable... But ima check for vacuum leaks again. What else should I check??

Also the knock sensor harness for me looked like this:
Image
^That connector is for the main engine harness from the knock sensor, notice its 2 wires.
Image
^This is the knock sensor end and is only one wire, while the black wire didn't reach the knock sensor. So i made my own and made it through the hole so it can connect to the knock sensor.
The whole wire looked like this when i pulled it out:
Image

So if one end has two wires coming out isn't the other end supposed to have two wires going in??
