do you mind posting a pix? I wanted to see how they match up with the factory HIDs. The link you just posted, are they the same ones you used for your fog lights? They need a ballast and stuff too? can't just simply replace the bulb? If the bulbs match w/ the factory HIDs, I'm tempted to just buy them instead of buying real HID kit. 250 bucks for foggies to look brighter are a bit excessive for me right now saving $ for other stuff. Thanksrjdmmfl1 wrote:JOhnny, I felt the same way.. so instead of converting my fogs to HID, I just grabbed some 5000K Xenon bulbs off of ebay... they look great!!
oh yeah, Eric, I went with the Xentek HID kit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVWModified by rjdmmfl1 at 11:51 PM 12/3/2007
You don't have to worry about the harnesses, it's the lens that'll burn first. They fog up/ melt due to the heat from the bulb. Like rjdmmfl1 said, he has no issues with this. But, my gf's car took a few months to actually show signs of burning. Now the lenses are permanently damagedjohnny_d wrote:thanks for the warning, Eric. The seller mentioned that they are low voltage and won't melt the harnesses. Let's hope he's right
Still wondering about this. I want to know if I leave it the way it is (upside down) will it mess anything up or what?glozaeta wrote:i'm just curious if its a bad thing to put that CCV box upside down? I mean with that 'lobe' that is over the injen hose placed under the injen hose.
