I've personally been having problems plugged in through USB. If I skip a song it will take about 6 seconds or so before the next song plays. Switched out cables. It's the same with both iPhone 6 and iPhone X. :wtf2:

I deleted my phone from the bluetooth profile, and repaired it, i also connected it as a music device via bluetooth....voila (makes and answers calls, streams bluetooth music, and steering wheel controls work) :gapteeth:
As stated by- pedsemdoc.

After several attempts with my new iPhone 8 “Verizon” and no success. I followed the instructions per the video link below & streaming music is working again, no skips or other issues. Apparently connecting your device via Bluetooth resolved the issue I was having. I waited several days after I got things up & running before posting my results, as some members have stated streaming issues after a few days of successful pairing, but so far so good on my end.
I hope this will help some of you.

I just picked up a 2018 Q70L. iPhone X integration is perfect. I get messages, can connect as iPod via wired or BTA.

Yeah, the issues have been resolved with newer models. I've had loaners a few times this year and every one of them worked perfectly.

I tried this. It worked for about a day, but now it's back to me not even being able to take calls. It's really odd. The phone will appear to work fine when I first pair it, but once I shut the car off and the computer shuts down overnight, it's back to having problems all over again.

Sorry you’re still having troube. That seems to be the case with several others that have posted on this issue.
Works fine for a few days, then the phone or streaming music act up. I never had a problem with my new iPhone 8 when it came to making or receiving calls, only with the streaming music, which is still working okay.
Sounds crazy - but maybe try this process again and see if it sticks this time. Good luck to you.

That's exactly what I did. I'll report back what my results were.

Ok, so after connecting and deleting my phone from my car 3-4 times without any improvement in performance, one day the issue just stopped occurring. I realized what was causing the interference... my Apple Watch! The ONLY time I have problems now is when I'm wearing the watch. To try and remedy this, I added my watch to the car as a device, but it hasn't made a difference. Audio streaming still sucks, but at least I can make calls; at least when I'm not wearing the watch LOL

I was wondering if the Watch was a potential problem. I had considered that both were using the same bluetooth profiles.

Yep. I haven't worn it all week and there have been no issues with my calls. Pairing the watch with the car didn't improve performance, BTW

Good info & thanks for the update
I don’t own an Apple Watch, and haven’t had any issues since I reconnected everything.

My guess is you have newer/better software or hardware in your car. I don't have any BT issues at all with the loaners I get when my car is being serviced.

So, after the latest iPhone software update (11.3) I no longer have BT issues with calls while wearing my Apple Watch and I can now stream music via BT. One issue I still have is the song data still doesn't match what's actually playing, but I don't mind that so much now that the music actually plays!

My 2k11 is totally jacked up when trying to play via Bluetooth and often make/receive calls.

I'll try to see what happens when I get back from Korea next weekend. I hope that the latest update fixes everything because I hate using the apple sync cable (use phone as an ipod) to listen to music.

Well my 2011 m56 is 30% better for music. It will play 1 song great then starts cutting out again. If I reconnect Bluetooth it’s good for a few more minutes. So don’t expect much

Glad you got BT music going again.
I have the same issue you referenced- where on occasion the song/artist isn’t displayed, but streaming music I still working. Sometimes there’s no display for the first few songs then the info appears.
Almost like it takes some time to sync up.

Yep, that's exactly what it seems like. What's funny is I got into the car Sunday morning and the music just started out of nowhere. I'm not used to it working properly

My phone always plays the songs but it fails to give the info on the screen. I've noticed of I leave the car on Bluetooth and have my Spotify up it'll give me the info. If I select Bluetooth then activate my Spotify it doesn't. Phone calls come in but the info is not there?.

I've given up on Infiniti with this issue.

I've been fighting this issue tooth and nail on my 2010 EX35. There's a similar thread on Myg37. I've gone as far as paying for the nav discs, which come with a firmware update, contacting apple and getting to talk to their engineering team. Nothing seems to help. I even bugged the dealer to put on ITB-01254B which is supposed to fix this issue. It helped on the bluetooth phonecalls but it is not perfect. Now I have issues half way through my calls.

I have a Galaxy S9+ and the quality of bluetooth streaming is something awful. Hard to believe the bluetooth protocol was so bad in 2011. I am thinking of getting an iPhone 5s as a dedicated Spotify player (via USB) since it's pretty cheap. That and having the "call waiting" recall/update done.
