You don't "need" the Z32 BMC, but people say it makes a BIG difference, I'm gonna stick with the 240 BMC for the meantime while I save up.

Stock brakes would work fine unless you plan on track daying, (which I don't think you do 'cause you mentioned that you just want to drag/street with it). Just get a set of slotted rotors/ATE Super Blue fluid/Hawk HPS pads and you'll be set. You could get it all for under $300, and the rotors are Brembo's.

Unless you wanna be flashy in which case you could pick up a set of Project Mu rotors, but they are $50 bucks more, (which is less than I thought), and they have free shipping, lol.

Idaho, if you search around patiently enough, you may end up like me and find MINT Q45 calipers/brackets/rotors for $10 in a junkyard... yes, ten bucks.. and then about $15 for a seal rebuild kit and a few hours of your time... and new pads/resurface the rotors... and youll still end up under $75-80 for a brake upgrade. food for thought man, hands down the best upgrade/dollar i have ever made... heck, best upgrade on my old hatch period... now my coupe gets em.

Yea I got the calipers off ebay and then bought the rotors from him. He only charged me 200 for all 4 if i can remember right it was almost that for stock rotors. From csk performance rotors are a benjamin each so i think it was a pretty good deal

the sprung clutch has springs to lessen the harchnesss of engagement. where as a unsprung clutch doesn't.

unsprung sprung

hope that helps

eh as long as you don't live in an area that has lots of stop and go traffic. my buddies evo had a dual disc unsprung clutch. Talk about a pain in the 4ss in downtown traffic. It was on or off basically if you tried to slip it everyone looked at you like you never drove a car before ahahaa because of all the jerkiness.

I wouldn't get cross drilled. Slotted/dimpled but never cross drilled. Some people have luck with cross drilled but they don't do any hard driving so it's ok. But some people I know bought 'em and they cracked.

Just something to look at and think about when doing brakes.

1. Stock brakes, with normal complete chinese carquest rotors, and upgraded pads will work just fine. I don't mean EBC Green Stuff by upgarded pads, I mean Carbotech (Bobcats or Panther +

2. I think Q45 is a waste of time. Lack of good pads owns jooo. Stock with good pads, or z32 are the only real options in my book.

3. Regular full rotors > * (unless you're racing an enduro or the sort). They dissapate heat, and chew good pads all to hell. They do not stop any faster or slower either.

4. F brembo blanks. They are no better nor worse than Carquest/Napa blanks.

true about the Q's not having a large pad selection... but i do love them compared to stock. they feel like a more solid stop. feels like a newer car almost

well for just street driving. and waht i will be doing. i think stock sized brakes will be fine. i thouight bremos where high quality brakes! the Q's would be nice. i am not sure. i will wait until i have to makea desicion on that . i suppose. after i get my parts on tuesday. the big deal will be getting the motor back in the car. so i still have to get some sensors installed in the oil pan for the oil temp. and i need to get the pyrometer bung welded on to. this week

Yea I too have seen cross drilled rotors crack! My buddies mustang are having that problem right now. I have drilled in the rear only of my car since it only is part of the braking load. My front are slotted only cause i was worried about the holes cracking.

so for assembling my turbo and exhasut manifold, and turbo extension. should i use just reg thread lock or what
