I did try connecting the cables to the block. It was not long enough because of the battery in the trunk. I did ground it to the strut tower. I'll be checking the ecu ground and voltage( pain in the a$$! )and get back.

It's crazy that I'm diggin in my ecu after this stupid clean job. I did have to get it running right anyway. I've always had bad thaughts the ecu not being wired correct. But it ran... None of the tps sensors or mafs worked correctly after realizing after 6k miles. I love my 240, but I've had bad luck with this swap. She'll be purring soon I know tho!

You cannot direct wire a Z32 MAFs to the ECU, it must be modified by the SAFC, or did you switch back to a SOHC MAFs?

Good news, TPS + MAFS are wired back up and running. I have deleted the z32 MAFS and also the AFC Neo. Car is running stronger than what it was but still doesn't pull. I'm thinking vacume leak.... Also will stall, maybe the BOV. Its just a cheap ebay one, but the car will stall sometimes. What do you guys think? Thanx again for all the help guys!

We have the signal wire from the mafs going right to the ecu. Is that a bad idea?Idle set high so it doesn't stall.

Glad that it seems better, but I keep coming back to the fact that SOMETHING CHANGED when you cleaned your IACV. We have to figure out what changed that day in order to ge this fixed for you.

I don't have 240sx experience so I can't speak to the MAF/ECU wiring. I don't even have a 240 yet but hopefully this weekend I will get one.

Anyhow, guys let's keep brainstorming for this guy. He was doing a procedure that was posted on this forum and it's kind of our responsibility to ehlp him get past this. So, come on Niconauts!!!

The likely hood that cleaning the IACV caused the initial problem, I think it is more likely that there was an underlying problem that was revealed during the cleaning. As long as the MAFs is correct for the ECU, then it can be direct wired. I would say, check for vacuum leaks, and also recirculate the BOV, that should fix your stalling issues. On another note, what do you plan on doing the the SAFC, if you dont want it anymore, I might be willing to buy it from you.

Good luck
