yup, that's not gonna help you any...
here's a novel idea, buy a V8 Mustang, it's cheap, will beat a V6, and you can be a jackass like a good bit of Mustang owners (don't get me wrong I still love the car, take that haters!)
if you get one though, don't try and race a shady looking gray haired guy in another one, REAL Ford guys are crazy, they don't throw on exhuast, headers and the other bolt on's like the so called chevy guys (though a lot of them are hardcore too)
you've got some learning to do kid...

ok, i read basically the first 3 posts, ill just throw in my 2 cents real quick. Sil80_freak, you are trying to beat a base model mustang? why not just do one better and get a mustang gt? looks the same as your friends, but you will rape him in speed. what year is your friend's? if you want, you could even get an old mustang 5.0, like a 1991 or 1992 model. then, you can laugh at your friend who has a newer model car than you and still gets spanked by you and your ride up and down the strip.
