well guys about 5:30 tuesday night i was riding around and passed by my house to do some joy riding. well you go down my road along ways and there is a series of s curves i come out of the last curve over a bridge and pasted a state trooper. i looked in the side mirror saw him slam on the breaks and thought oh s*** i juts got a da**ticket,i'm screwed unless i can hide. so i found the nearest driveway and down it i went about 45 seconds later he comes up behind me. i go man there goes my car cuz i knww he was gonna give me a ticket. i got one for doing 59 in a 45 thats 129.00, i got one for no seat belt which was 25.00 and another one for not having my lincense on me which was 150.00. my dad took my car for two weeks and that just for not having my lincense on me and i have no idea what my punishment is for the speeding yet . i am about to go insane. i know its my fault and i should have just turned into my drive way and waited til my mom got home but noooooooooooooooooo i had to go for a drive and be young and do stupid things like pass a cop doing about 60 in a curve. grrrrrrrrrrrr i got court in janand my dad knows the judge cuz he has been in front of her a couple of times. he says it depends on what mood she is in if she will knock it down since its my first speeding ticket. my road is about 10 miles longand i have hardly ever seen a cop on the backend of my road now up front near the schools and everything i see them all the time but hardly ever near the s curves but thats just my luck though. its alright in about another week and a half i will have my baby backand i will be alittle bit more careful. and onemore thing i have known this girl named amber since about 5 th grade and it just happened to be her drive way i pulled into . her mom came out and told the cop she didn't know me. i was so ticked cuz i talked to her mom all the time. thats alright i'll just stay away from here and her family.

I'll just go with what he said and keep my mouth shut on this one.

Just another example of why inexperienced teenagers have no business driving fast in a car. Or driving a car at all in this case. :rolleyes

She knows it was stupid, she admitted it.I'll be the first to admit I've done stupid things before too, but the trick is to learn from them. ;)

Lay off a bit.

We all stupid things, its okay. Luckily, I live in a private neighborhood with private roads, so even if it was one of the few times a cop was in here he wouldn't have jurisdiction. Yay! And I am by far one of the better drivers in my neighborhood, I stop at stop signs, for instance...

Stuff happens. I got a ticket when I crashed my 240 a month ago. Michigan cops. I hadn't had a ticket 2 year prior to that. Because 2 years ago I was caught doing 120+. I have wisened up since then. Nick

I don't mean to be an ******* but I agree with Trpower, don't complain here. You were speeding, at night, in S-curves, without wearing your seatbelt. Be glad you didn't drive into oncomming traffic or fly off the road. I'd say you got off easy by just getting a ticket and some dumb punishment from your parents...

I agree with that.

'Cause you don't see cops travel some roads doesn't mean that they never go down them. Long stretch roads are good to speed on but that would be a road a cop would be hidding somewhere in the bushes just waiting to get someone who speeds. Always be cautious b/c you never know where one is lerking.

Not wearing seatbelt----uncool.Running from cops--biggest mistake that could ever be made. :nono

well, looks like u've been verbally flogged enough here.:D what kills me is, with stories like this, other young (good) drivers keep b1tching about the cost of auto insurance for their age group. well, no sh1t.

Is it wrong that I get a huge sense of satisfaction out of this?? Finally, we're not all babying someone and being nice. Bout' time we cracked down on this kind of stupid bull crap. This is a car performance enthusiast website, not a website where I have to hear some dumb high school ***** whine about a problem that was her stupid fault and dangerous to the rest of us to boot. Sweet, sweet victory.......

Kind of a shallow victory, no? That's lame to feel like you've won somehow,(this is the internet, what have you won) but also it's lame to speed, elude, and not buckle up. If people could maintain a neutral approach, maybe think and act with more consideration, then the original poster might have buckled up, and maybe there wouldn't be a need to "win"

but everyone needs to look at it this way. shes in highschool no? how many of you guys did dumb stuff like this back when you were her age? of course everyone is going to jump on her for doing stupid things, but i bet most of you guys have SOME experience, although not exactly the same, with the law and tickets. chastisment is good, she'll learn from her mistakes, but hypocrisy only makes everyone look bad.

I do stupid stuff all the time, in fact I love it. I bend rules and do crazy crap. But when I get caught I know who's fault it is. Its those damn voices in my head. The same ones that say, "go head, turn the boost up, she won't blow, we promises".

Oh, and nissanrose, a lady hit my truck this last Sunday morning, as I was passing through an intersection.. I won't have it back from the shop until "around Christmas" was what the body man told me. Good thing I know him personally, or I'd be waiting longer... tis the season for slipping and sliding and banging up cars.

My point is, I miss my ride too. Feel better, and do better next time.

I just graduated from High School last May, and I'm still on probation... I think everytime I get behind the wheel I have at least 2 tickets against me, It's amazing I still have my license... The cost of my stupidity? I pay over 4k a year on my J30. I think I have a right to yell at you nissanrose, you don't want to end up like a punkass like me do you? Think about it, you could use all that wasted money (AND IT'S DEFINATELY WASTED, another story all-together) towards your car and other ****. Being stupid just isn't practical.

Ultra-dumb: Any parents allowing a high-school age kid to drive a Mustang or any other car with more than 120 hp. As we've all seen and read, they're dangerous enough as it is without giving them V-8's.

She's a 17-18 yr old girl. A classic example why teen insurance rates are highest. Rose, remember driving is a privilege, not a right. Could have been much worse, and you were lucky. I strongly suggest you keep that Speed Racer nonsense in perspective and consider it lesson to behave more responsibly next time you drive. Good luck

If this stuff happens to you now, maybe it will have a lasting impression. 16 is great. But not making it to 18 would suck.

Anyway, point is, learn from this mistake. Driving like an *** usually gets you into trouble or worse, someone hurt. Not that I haven't driven and riden like an *** on more than a few occasions.

It aint worth getting hurt.
