I hooked everything up, just have to double check that everything is ok... there were 3 vacuum hoses coming off the stock BPV, the small 4mm was pretty much just tossed away, and then 2 others that were about 1 1/2 in. or whatever, I plugged them both off... is that ok? I guess I should also ask if it was ok to take the vacuum hose from my waste gate and tee it into the vacuum hose from my BOV WHICH is running to my FPR.

Hi guyz I'm new to teh 4umz. I gotz a question tho. I seem to have a problem with one of my coilpacks firing. Should I replace all four with my spares or just the one that is having the problem? Also can it be any of the four coilpacks or does it have to be the one for the cylinder that is having the problem?

I beleive you can even talk to them trough aim if you want. It would probably have helped if you bought it from them though.

I need your guy's help..See I'm more of a body man than an engine guy.. I'm planning to buy a Redtop S13 engine, and push around 400-450 ponies. This is sort of a budget build with about $5,000 to spend after I buy the engine. I would like to know what parts I could/should buy to reach this amount of power.

if I'm not mistaken, you will need a bigger turbo... but I'm not quite sure (i'm a noob) Also, might as well get a boost controller, and fuel pump, fuel injectors, maybe an fpr (fuel pressure regulator. not sure about the FPR upgrade. Also an exhaust, and lose the cat or get a freeflow or whatever. Someone will help you better probably in a little.

I doubt you'll reach 450 with that budget but we'll see what we can do. We'll start with the exhaust side of the motor. You'll need some kind of upgraded exhaust manifold. If you decide to stay T2X the Megan Racing manifold can be had for $174. Next you'll need a turbo outlet and downpipe. For convenience and because I'm lazy we'll select the Circuit Sports outlet/downpipe $328.95. Next you'll need a catback. I'm partial to the HKS Hi Power so we'll pick that. $469.95. Now we'll need and intercooler, piping, and a BOV. I piece together my intercooler kit using an Egay core $100, Projectnissan.com intercooler piping $138, HKS SSQV and flange $225, exhaust shop fee for welding said flange $15. Misc. couplers, clamps, and hoses $100 just to be on the safe side. Misc gaskets $100. 740cc Tomei injectors $525, Nismo Adjustable FPR $119, HKS Step 2 272 intake and exhaust cams 465, BC Titanium valve springs and retainers $228.95, RS Enthalpy ECU tune $500, Z32 MAFS $140, GT3076R $1399.99, LSD $790 = $5515.74 Over budget. Not to mention the tires and suspension to handle said power.

^^ imo, you can actually get most of said items cheaper... but its pretty much a good breakdown.

lsd = 790? dude, he's not asking for drifting.... 1.5 ways are cheaper, more around the 500 area imo..

you can pick up used bov's for 100 all day, flanges are only like 20 bucks,

and you can save a sh1tload of money if you take your fmic and exhausting to a muffler guy.

but imo, its still somewhat attainable under 5... I'd recommend a good rebuild kit first and foremost... and just know that dyno tunes arent cheap either

Nah. Dyno time and datalogging will put him overbudget. I generally don't post used parts listings because the price varies soooooo much it's impossible to say what price a certain part will go for. You'll need some serious locking on an LSD to control 450 horses in an S chassis. I'd go with 2 way personally.

true true and very well said... I just figured I'd just add a little thought into it... I just dont wanna see another "i took a loan out for my engine" then have that thread turn into a forum war if you know what i mean...

ummm. Dang. thats a lot of money. Can I just get a list of things I need to add/improve part wise? so I can pick and choose. I own a shop, So i get my own hook ups. I don't really want to push 450 exactly just a range.. I'd much go with low 400's. I already set aside money for the JDM tyte body that it's gonna have. Imagine...- Rolled Fenders Front and Back- JDM 180sx Type X Taillights- JDM 180sx Turn Signals and driving lights- Origin Roof Spoiler- Stance GR+ Coilovers- 18" Work Emotion Kai's *White*- Battle Version-- Rear Toe Links-- Upper Control Arms-- Tension Rods- JIC-- Aluminum Front and Rear strut bars- Suspension Techniques Sway Bar Set

All this for my little project 180

rolling your fender is basically thining out in the inside of your fenders so that you can fit wider/ low offset wheels.

pulling on the other hand is the above mentioned, but more of an aggressive aproach. You're actually pulling the fender out more to get a little flare for a wider/ lower offset wheel that won't clear a basic fender roll. a pull would look something like this

with doing so... flushness is attainable without rubbing (ofcourse with the help of the correct offset of the wheel).

(contrary to what some believe, due to the suspension geometry, with every bump or whatnot, your tire would never touch the fender)

I'm actually thinking about doing a write-up on: How the roll your fenders, the ghetto way, with a hammer! LOL... my cousin needed to roll his fenders really bad cuz it was eating up his tires, and we couldnt wait for a fender roller to be available... so I went in my garage and picked out a hammer and hammered his fenders thin, LOL (not recommended for cars with nice paint, LOL). it actually didn't turn out that bad, and its easier than the "baseball bat method" LOL

just like any other piggy back, its universal. You'll have to tap the wires into your ecu harness. Just make sure you have an ecu diagram handy so you know which wires to splice into.

Or you could get the one off Mohdparts... which just so happens to be written by me. It is for S13 DOHC. And I can't remember if the ignition wiring is correct. You might have to flip the wires around...

I just bought an S!3 with an RB20DET swap. Unfortunately, it's gonna be a daily driver, but it has no A/C. these threads discuss A/C on an S14 with an RB swap, but I see no help for the S13. I have no lines or compressor; what are my cheapest and easiest options?

--also, once I get the A/C in, and replace the SMIC with a FMIC, should I assume under-hood temperatures are going to be through the roof and get a vented hood?
