It's an M Sports kit. I don't think they would put their logo on the hood if it weren't. As for it being a Signal Auto car, that doesn't make sense. Why would Signal put an M Sports kit on one of their rides? That "Garage Showup" thing is an Autobacs production. Looking more and more further, it also has River Side, which was originally an AE86-based compnay that branched into Nissan in the late 90's. My conclusion is that this is a privateer's car and who ever owns it got a lot of work done by a lot of shops or bought a lot of stuff from a lot of shops and is merely a sticker whore at a drift meet.

S15 dash does fit in an S13 chassis. The S15 went back to the original layout of the S13 with a blend of what the 180SX and Silvia would have looked like had it continued on past 1993 (S13 Silvia that is).

Did you just ask... how to buy something? You've never bought anything before? Anyway this is how it works. You generally find something you want to buy... then you give whoever has it "money". In exchange for the "money" (or whatever els you may barter), you get whatever it is you want.

My dad just purchased a 1990 240sx with a KA24E engine for my first car. I now have $900 to put into the car. I wanted to know what would be the best performance upgrade to buy. I am not spending any money on appearences.

Spend that $900 on getting the car in proper running order. There is no point in modifying a SOHC.

Well, do you know of any good deals on exhaust kits, cold air intakes, etc?

Once every 170-200 thousand miles or so. By the way, there are 2 chains, upper and lower. Nissan says the chains should actually outlast the car, and I've never actually heard of one breaking, but they start to make alot of noise around then.

If I were you I would spend that money on general tune-up items, tires, and some interior parts that would be transferable to another 240 if you ever decided to get one. (S14 seats, B&M short shifter). If all that is taken care of, save up more money and wait til you can afford forced induction.

does not compute.Find them: Ebay, Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Craigslist.com, your local newspaper and classified ads.Supposed to convert it to an s14: Um, you're not "supposed" to do anything. Do whatever you want. (note, it took a lot of willpower not to make any smart *** remarks in this post).

I've heard 80w90 or 80w140. IIRC I have used both. Currently I use LUCAS OIL gear oil for LSDs.

Hey guys, I just got an HKS ssqv, and had two questions, one is, I heard you dont have to close the stock bpv, but I wouldn't see why you dont have to since the airflow will still go to it. Do you have to take off the old bpv? Also, the bpv was set up as recirc. am I right? There was a three way splitter coming off it... one end was hooked up to the top of the old BPV and the opposite side ran to the exhaust manifold. The third end runs towards the turbo with a thicker blue line, about 6mm compared to 4mm. I dont know what this line is hooking into, or whether I need it running towards the manifold also? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I'm trying to figure out where to hook up the vacuum line coming off the external wastegate I think. (sr20det) after I just got rid of the stock BPV

I dont really know how to post a pic but ... zerothread?id=237651has a Vacuum hose diagram, and what I'm looking for is FIG A14-04 (the one right above his purple writing)I'm not really understanding what that part is... I'm guess something about the wastegate. It was hooked up with the 3 way splitter heading into the bpv and the FPR and I'm just wondering if I need to hook it up somewhere now.

If you are still looking, if you can find one with 5 lugs, that means it comes with an LSD. Check the entire car over for rust. Also, don't be worried if the headlights are faded. It is a common problem for that year.

You NEED to hook up the vacuum source from the wastegate to something that will see actual manifold pressure. For most people, they T off the fuel pressure vacuum source, and run it like that. If you don't do this, you will boost spike like whoa.

Hey

I am going to be buying a 96 240sx and get the s15 drifter conversion kit.

But I also wanted to swap out the motor for an RB26DETT, this will be my first swap, so, be gentle

I have been looking around quite a bit, but I can only find the motors, I am looking for the transmission as well. I want someone that sells the motor along with the transmission together, or if you guys know any sites or anyone that sells great RB26DETT motors that come with everything. Also if you know anyone or any site that sells great transmissions for it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The one thing I would really want preferably is a complete setup, with everything. I want to just buy the motor and the transmission and have it shipped to me with everything that I need to drop it in. I wanna order it, watch it come in, then just drop it in my 240sx without having to buy any parts.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there anything else I shall need for this transformation? All I have planned so far is the body kit, the motor and the transmission.

Will there be anything else I need?

Please help!!

Thanks in advance

http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/...id/74

And pretty much every other motor vendor on NICO sell the trannies with the motor.

Well you do realize that you won't just be able to bolt in the AWD transmission? The modifications to the chassis are extensive to use an AWD transmission so most likely you'd have to sell of the AWD transmission and buy an RB25 transmission. If you want to keep the AWD transmission you will have to fab an almost completely custom setup. So basically, there is nothing you can buy that will include everything to swap an RB26 into the 240sx.

Cos they are cheaper? They are also more abundant and therefore easier to find.

I just purchased an '89 240 with a redtop SR / MT. I have owned a completely stock '90 240sx since high school and have loved the cars reliability and driving experience. I just graduated from Michigan State with my EE and work for Honda R&D and have finally reached the point where I can stop salivating at the SR20 parts all over the net.

Anyhow, my question is in regards to my new '89 idle. I searched the forums and got a few ideas to a probable fix but I think mine may be unique or just common with the SR. Upon startup the car idles at aprox 900 rpm and then begins "coughing". If I give it a bit of gas it's fine and once the car is heated up it doesn't seem to be a problem. If I take it out and drive her the idle is fine as well. Does anyone else experience this problem everytime they start their cars. Also, this happens at all times of day. Thanks in advance.

I'm not too possitive, but I'm leaning toward your FPR.
