s*** man don't be down, if anything, now's the time to have some fun. rev that f***er up to 7 grand and drop the clutch and spin em till you throw a rod (cracked blocks make for lots of fun with a torch ) then drop a hayabusa turbo motor in and that bish will screw

agreed with all above, but something else ill add thatll probably make you mad, if she wants a brand new G6, she should be paying for it, not you, because when the time comes that you want a new car, is she going to be footing the bill like you? i highly doubt it.

you must be single

op, find another ka and swap it in. if you plan on tuning used cars from the 90's you should be expecting things like this to happen. quityerb****in and get to wrenching, or just quit altogether.

You fail. Who doesn't check their head and block to see if it's warped before putting it back together?! Especially after it over heats, just sounds like you don't know what you're doing.

Just give me your engine block, and sell your car as a shell, clearly you don't want to keep working on a car that is going to have so many "Issues" go out and buy a new Lexus or BMW like all the other "cool" kids. lol

God thats a gay post. I'm probably going to "quit" on the 240's too. I have mixed feelings for them now, they're basically the new civic anyways.

Thanx for the defense. And to everyone else.....I've replaced these heads many times. You don't have to take it to a machine shop. I checked it myself at my house with dye to look for cracks. I can tear the motor down and replace the HG in about 4 hours. NO BIG DEAL. I'm just tired of doing it.

But did you check for warping? Checking it with dye is cool, but it sounds like you didn't check the the head for warping with a strait edge and .001 feeler gauge.

Then sell it or give it to someone who knows how to do preventative maintenance.

LOL, You guys crack me up. Theres no need to be d!ck. I prolly do more preventative maint. than anyone on the planet. Thats how I still drive a 79 model ford with the original engine never been rebuilt. It was mistake that the head blew. I'm not sweating it anymore. Just need to decide what to do with the car now. I think a 400 sb or a 383 is on the way.

Oh yeah I did check it for warpage. It checked out fine. I may not have torqued it right who knows. mistakes are made all the time. I could redo it in a couple of hours I'm just tired of f***ing with it right now.

Its not that I really care that they're becoming the new civic. s***, they basically already are. In my eyes though, now is the time to sell. Atleast for me it is, I want to get into a different car and I've just become bored with the 240SX. I used to look forward to working on my car(s) and now its more of a hassle than anything. I've had 4 240's and its definately time for me to get into something different.

I wouldnt stress it to much. Any car can have a string of s***ty luck. When you really think about it, theres alot of s*** that COULD go wrong all the time that doesnt. So just fix it and wait for the next problem lol.

I think you are just a little upset at the overheating issue. If you get rid of it and get something "new", you definitely won't have as much fun with it. There are a few exceptions to that statement, but the majority of new cars don't have the same appeal as the late 80s and early/mid 90s cars had. I think car companies are starting to bring that sort of thing back, but the economy is putting a damper on that at the moment. I say rebuild/swap and keep on moving. Just my 2 cents.
