you must be singleRMerritts wrote:agreed with all above, but something else ill add thatll probably make you mad, if she wants a brand new G6, she should be paying for it, not you, because when the time comes that you want a new car, is she going to be footing the bill like you? i highly doubt it.
God thats a gay post. I'm probably going to "quit" on the 240's too. I have mixed feelings for them now, they're basically the new civic anyways. Two Fowty wrote:yes 240's are a pita x 90000.. but they're 240's.. they're awesome. Anyone can have a damn honda or some s*** like that, but if you have a 240, you are the s*** lol. Store and do the swap bro.
Thanx for the defense. And to everyone else.....I've replaced these heads many times. You don't have to take it to a machine shop. I checked it myself at my house with dye to look for cracks. I can tear the motor down and replace the HG in about 4 hours. NO BIG DEAL. I'm just tired of doing it.White Comet wrote:i doubt it had a leaking water pump. that probably developed while driving, and you can't tell except by looking at teh temp gauge. but by the time the oem gauges starts to move its too late
But did you check for warping? Checking it with dye is cool, but it sounds like you didn't check the the head for warping with a strait edge and .001 feeler gauge.janda240sx wrote:I've replaced these heads many times. Because I am?Ghast wrote:Firewind , Why do you seem like an ***hole?
Its not that I really care that they're becoming the new civic. s***, they basically already are. In my eyes though, now is the time to sell. Atleast for me it is, I want to get into a different car and I've just become bored with the 240SX. I used to look forward to working on my car(s) and now its more of a hassle than anything. I've had 4 240's and its definately time for me to get into something different.al240 wrote:quoted from above"they're basically the new civic anyways".god man i hate to hear that cause iv been in love with these cars for so long but thats becoming more and more true everyday thinking bout getting an sti i used to get asked everyday "what kind of car is that" cause i dont have badges now everyone is like sweet 240 getting old anbody hear anything on the new 200sx's?
