AS the title states.... I'm done.. Every 240 I've ever had has had some kind agrovating problem. The one in my sig is my fourth and the last. My fiance was driving and aparantly the water pump developed a leak made the car run hot. I've already tore it down and replaced the HG and didn't see any problems with the head so I put back together and f***er still runs hot and never boils. AKA head warpage or crack. So anyway I'm done with them.

Just wanted to vent a little. I know none of you prolly care but what the hell.

havn't decided whats being done with the car yet. May part out, may sell as whole or may store until I swap in a SB 400.

If I had some extra money, I'd buy it off of ya. I'm sure you'll be able to get some good money for it, even with the messed up head.

If you want a reliable daily driving car that takes minimal effort to maintain, just buy a new car (i.e. 2008 or 2009 models). You won't look back.

Sorry dude but you got to hear it. ANYTIME you do a headgasket, send the f'n head to the machinst for inspection. 9times out of ten ,especially aluminum, they will take a few thousandths off. That is just common mechanical sense. Sorry about your deal ,but don't blame the 240 for a lack of knowledge.

If you took out the fan shroud I'd put it back on because without the shroud air will be going everywhere except your engine. Id also put a cold air intake if you haven't already to help it breathe better, but thats just my .02.

If your fiance was smart she'd have stopped driving it on a leaking water pump, or bought gallons of water at a nearby gas station.

Car problems like this don't happen only because parts fail, people fail too.

it could just be some air, I did a timing cover gasket on i think a grand am were it has 2 small coolant passages in it. I was done and started it let it run. When I turned it off, AAAALLLLLLL of the coolant exploded out the top of the engine and onto me and all over the car....TWICE. I left after that, i regret it too. Stupid cars

i doubt it had a leaking water pump. that probably developed while driving, and you can't tell except by looking at teh temp gauge. but by the time the oem gauges starts to move its too late
