ok, this is going to be long. i'm not asking for advice, but more of outside interpretation as to what the hell is going on.
i posted a couple pages back about a friend's ex talking to me a lot lately. i'll run it down quick, main players will be named john, dave, and kate for privacy's sake, not like you know them, but it seemed like a cool idea lol.
dave and kate are cousins. john has like kate for a couple of years, but never asked her out because of his friendship with dave. kate is about 3 years older than all of us, i think, i just know she is older. john and kate finally start dating about a month ago. she cooks for him, gives him a key to her place, they are both saying that they are really into each other. great. one day, she goes to john's house to bring him food, his cars are home, she calls, he claims he isn't there. there are no strange cars there. he asks her to go get some milk for him. she obliges and returns about 10 minutes later. now he's home claiming he had his sister's car, which isn't there. he spazzes out on her, yells at her, tells her to leave. he calls later on and breaks up with her. this is after about a month of dating. she tries to find out why, and his response is that he has his reasons. he tells dave the same thing. now she friends me on myspace and asks me to e-mail her because she has a favor to ask of me. i have seen her twice in my life and never talked to her aside from those two times. the first time was about a year ago, and the last about a month ago. she asked me to see if i could find out what the reasons were for the break up. i oblige since i wanted to catch up with him anyways, but found it odd that his myspace was deleted. john and i talk, he tells me that there were trust issues and that he wouldn't say anymore. here i am four days later, and all day, i am getting emails from kate telling me how mad she is, how she feels used, blah blah blah. she decided to send john's mother a letter to apologize for the scene at the house and to thank her for being so nice to kate. john's mother gets letter, and gets pissed at john and won't talk to him. dave calls kate and yells at her for sending the letter, and then he tells her not to tell me anything about the situation. something is up and i can't figure it out.
john, dave, and i have been close friends for years. becuase they live so close to each other, john and dave are always together. in the last few months i have drifted apart from them because i feel that i am at a more advanced point in my life. i am trying to build a future for myself, while they are all content in living with their parents and staying stuck where they are.
anyone have a clue as to what is going on? why the sudden split up, why the sudden secrecy from me? there are other friends who are in the loop, but they won't fill me in. btw, no one knows that i have talked to kate at all, so i doubt that that has anything to do with it. it's not killing me to know, but it all seems so strange.
