A jeep? not sure i can help you. I did my friends 325ix's fuel pump last week, and god bless those german goons for finally making something easy! you just had to lift up the back seat and remove a panel and the fuel pump is right there and just swivels out! hope it goes this well for you.

plastic gas tank? all he has to do is claim he can't find his gas cans, suggest they use his 240, park along side the jeep and siphon away. now since the 240's gas tank is lower than the jeep, the flow will work perfectly. then when they are done, he can be all like "oh damn, it won't siphon back in because the jeep's tank is too high and the gas won't work against gravity." look at that, free gas for your car. i know, i'm a genious, no need to thank me.
