A fancy high/low pass unit. Lets me use my stock deck, but keep my amps. My current deck is crapping out. Damn you Eclipse!

What's special about the JL unit, is it flattens out the frequencies.

The stock radio doesn't allow for amplifiers because there is no RCA connections. The JL unit connects to the stock deck through the speaker connection wires on the stock deck. It takes the signal those wires deliver and regulates it out for better sound quality, then sends it to the amplifiers through the RCA's on the JL unit.

I had an Eclipse by Fujitsu-ten. It was a good company providing really REALLY good sound quality.
