that was only the first night. the next day was rafting down the co river, then a private dance exhibition at one of the reservations. next morning we loaded up in buses and rode down to cimarron, nm where base camp was. there was a herd of bison across the dirt road when we arrived. we spent the day/night prepping for the trek. the following morning we loaded up into an old school bus, drove for miles, then they stopped, ushered us off the bus on the side of the road, handed us maps and an itinerary and said "we'll see you in 10 days...hopefully". 10 days, and 70 miles of hiking later and we made it. we pissed off the wing of a military test plane that crashed on a mountain 10,000ft up, packed our own shells for skeet shooting, fished all the creeks we came across, explored old diamond mines, rode horses, ran into a bear, and basically had the coolest trip of my life to date. we did more, but those were the highlights lol.
