So I came painfully close to running over a German Shepherd this morning. Some fat b1tch was walking her dog. He was on the sidewalk and she was in the middle of the road (on a small bridge that is only one car wide) so I actually had to slow down to wait for her. Once I crossed the bridge the dog ran straight for my front tire (driver side). Fortunately I was able to swerve out to the right when the road got wider after the bridge. I managed to look back after I had avoided the dog and noticed the owner scolding it. Sometimes I wish obesity had a higher mortality rate.

How goes it ladies?

I don't feel like explaining, but read a page or two starting with this post. Just some random Learned'd madness.

Yeah, he came back again over the weekend. I'm pretty sure there is a starbucks or something out there where you now cannot log in to NICO. Then Greg posted up a picture.

Yo know, if Greg were a bit younger I bet he'd pull off the facebook stalker like a pro.

i was on the mass pike yesterday, cruising along at 75. everyone behind me who wanted to go faster just pulled into the next lane and went around without blinking an eye. except for this one older guy in a rav4. no, he wanted to ride my a** for a mile, incessantly flashing his high beams. once he finally went to go around, i could see him mouthing obscenities at me as he passed. disengage cruise control, drop into 4th, and sorry home skillet, no passing for you today. boy was he pissed. i rolled down the window to point and laugh. bring it on old man Image

That's probably my biggest pet peeve while driving: people who can't figure out speeds or lanes. The sad thing is, that guy definitely had NO idea why you were messing with him. I do the exact same thing though, along with these:

- If someone's riding my a** on a no-passing road (generally, they start tailing me when I'm going 5-10 over), I slow down. If they keep tailing, I slow down more. I've driven about 14 mph for extended periods on a 35 mph road. Then, if they try to pass (even though it's illegal), I speed up and block them.

- When people drift into my lane on the highway, I'll speed up to get in front of them (but only BARELY in front of them). Then I drift over into their lane. It's so much fun watching them freak out, completely oblivious to the fact that what this "crazy driver" is doing to them is no different than what they just did. Almost made a chick wreck in a construction zone doing that. She over-corrected way too much.

Are you talking about on this site? If so, it was fun when people said that while the search was borked'd.

no, z related sites (nico's classic z forum lacks substance, which i'd be happy to provide, except i'm horrible at documenting what i do). i've been scourging a few s30 specific sites, as well as google, and i'm not getting the info i need.

I'd love to have an old z. I'm going to stay on the lookout until I find one with the body in good shape. Might be tough to find around here with all the snow and salt. But I did see a 280 in a parking lot. Couldn't tell the condition since I was in the passenger seat and didn't notice it until I was nearly passed it (and the driver was not enough of a car person to stop and check it out).

mine needs some body work, but not as much as it should, being that it's been in ct its entire life. actually, it's been in the same city its entire life, go figure.

That mileage can't be right, can it?

If only I had enough cash for it to even be worth checking out in person. I'd have to do some work to remove some of the lame mods this guy put on...

ya, those green lights in side pissed me off. also, not a fan of the yellow paint job. the rust on the fenders makes me wonder what else is hidden (which won't be as bad if it's easily accessible).

Those would be the first to go. They're in the air vents too, see that?

And my main concern would be the rust. Replacing body panels or repairing them would be a bit of a pain, but what about rust to more of the structural parts of the car. That could be a disaster. Paint would need to be redone, but if I ever pick up an old z that seems unavoidable.

working on such old cars that were very prone to rust is interesting to say the least.

btw, the bronx is also interesting to say the least. wedding anniversary/vow renewal, in a b&g club, surrounded by pj's. my old man and i were outside at least once an hour, every hour to check on the cars (not mine, but his and my uncle's benz). booty shaking jailbait up the wazoo. random used condom on the sidewalk. god i hate new york.

going down there is an experience. i imagine chicago is a lot like nyc. boston is nothing like nyc. big city, sure, but they don't seem to have hoods like nyc does. i mean, i grew up in one of the most hood cities in ct, and even i feel uncomfortable in nyc.

just looked it up, i was in the castle hill neighborhood of the bronx. apparently that's where j.ho is from.

Yeah, Chicago definitely has some shady areas. Many that I even refuse to drive through at night. I've lived within the city limits of Chicago, so I don't know that NY would be much of an experience for me, except that I believe it is more expensive. I'm not opposed to visiting, but I'm not going to go out of my way to do so.

i visit, then gtfo. i'm not much for big cities, aside from those far and few between field trips. i like my quiet and my privacy. the life of a hermit would be appealing if i didn't have life requirements that demanded money.
