Eating and working. Still here, but multiple things going on.

I feel like taking a drive during part of my lunch break, but dunno where to go. I wish I had some errands that needed running.

Yeah, you would. They don't discriminate against guys wearing dresses and "hunting" for flowers. Hell, this state even embraces your extra curricular pelvic thrust a** kicking. :poke:

Is that what you guys call yourselves in a group?

I had something awesome happen while I was driving around on lunch. I got passed on the back-roads (going roughly the limit) by like a 1995 saturn sl2. I actually paused my music so I could hear the engine as he drove by me. I needed that today...

Edit: scratch that, it was older than '95, so probably an sl1.

they should pay me in tacos. i love tacos. i'm sure they'll do the work for some green cards. a package of green construction paper and a sharpie should be pretty cheap.

I don't really hate Salem that much. I just hate making the drive because someone else effed up. Today is the second day in a row. There are very few of us who are bonded and allowed to pick up the stamps from the Oregon DOR. I don't see what difference it makes, since they are paid for, but I suppose when you are picking up 1/4 of a million in Tax Revenue Stamps, they have their bureaucratic laws.

Plus you have to check in, and wait in a "special area". Payment has to be made by 10am, and you can't receive the Stamps until after 2pm. You aren't allowed to leave, since you are in a secure area. The upside is they have a good cafe in the secured area, and wifi. Plus there is a security officer who will go plug your meter if you give him the change and put a card on your dash that extends the short term parking to all day parking. So the bonus is I can park in the 30 minute parking (which is always open and front row) and stay all day.

Best part of it all, is that I get paid mileage, and parking, so I should be 60% covered on the cost to powdercoat my wheels white.

Dos Equis wins hands down. I actually enjoy that. But, corona just bugs me. I can't stand that garbage. Also, I doubt I'll ever try it in Mexico, as that is probably about the last country I want to visit on a vacation.

I've had worse gigs but I can imagine your frustration in having to take care of someone else's f***-up.

I sure as hell don't want to go to a tourist trap location. I was in Cozumel once, but that was a stop on a cruise. I think I was about 14. I bought a pack a smokes (do they have different regulations as to drug content?) and chain smoked two of them before booting everywhere.

Where else is there to go down there other than the tourist trap spots? I have friends who worked in Silao for a while, but they said they were afraid to go anywhere but the plant/hotel. I can just think of many other countries I'd rather visit before Mexico. I'd probably go back to Ireland 12 times before I'd want to go south once.
