Oh shut it. I wish I was somewhere in oregon.Beancooker wrote:Back in Salem Oregon... again...
Yeah, you would. They don't discriminate against guys wearing dresses and "hunting" for flowers. Hell, this state even embraces your extra curricular pelvic thrust a** kicking.ADDirishboy wrote:

Why do you hate Salem so much?Beancooker wrote:Back in Salem Oregon... again...
Why for?numbnuts240 wrote:i need to hire a gaggle of mexicans.
my concrete walks need to be redone soon and i just don't have the time or the desire to do them myself.nissangirl74 wrote:Why for?

they should pay me in tacos. i love tacos. i'm sure they'll do the work for some green cards. a package of green construction paper and a sharpie should be pretty cheap.AppleBonker wrote:You think they'd allow you to pay them in tacos?
fah q. Now that you said that I really want a few tamales for dinner. Wonder if I can find anything decent around me...nissangirl74 wrote:Tamales
Haha. When you make them, take a pic or two. I wants to see.numbnuts240 wrote:a package of green construction paper and a sharpie should be pretty cheap.

I don't really hate Salem that much. I just hate making the drive because someone else effed up. Today is the second day in a row. There are very few of us who are bonded and allowed to pick up the stamps from the Oregon DOR. I don't see what difference it makes, since they are paid for, but I suppose when you are picking up 1/4 of a million in Tax Revenue Stamps, they have their bureaucratic laws.nissangirl74 wrote:

Wait, legit Mexicans don't actually drink that crap, do they?numbnuts240 wrote:just try and picture a brown dude with a corona instead of the e.t.
I've had worse gigs but I can imagine your frustration in having to take care of someone else's f***-up.Beancooker wrote:I don't really hate Salem that much. Plus you have to check in, and wait in a "special area". Payment has to be made by 10am, and you can't receive the Stamps until after 2pm. You aren't allowed to leave, since you are in a secure area. The upside is they have a good cafe in the secured area, and wifi. Plus there is a security officer who will go plug your meter if you give him the change and put a card on your dash that extends the short term parking to all day parking. So the bonus is I can park in the 30 minute parking (which is always open and front row) and stay all day.
Best part of it all, is that I get paid mileage, and parking, so I should be 60% covered on the cost to powdercoat my wheels white.
I sure as hell don't want to go to a tourist trap location. I was in Cozumel once, but that was a stop on a cruise. I think I was about 14. I bought a pack a smokes (do they have different regulations as to drug content?) and chain smoked two of them before booting everywhere.numbnuts240 wrote:actually, mexico was awesome when i went. i'd like to go back and spend a week there, during a less hot time of year. i wouldn't do the party cities, not my bottle of corona.
Kinda like this:numbnuts240 wrote:just try and picture a brown dude with a corona instead of the e.t.
