No, it won't. The SOHC's compressor only works a little bit with the CA18DET. The SR and KA24DE are not compatible also for another reason, they don't use the same kind of refrigerant as the SOHC does.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:It's a single cam, and I really don't want the next engine in there to be a single cam. Will my compressor work on a dual cam, or dare I say SR?
Re-manufactured alternators are crap, no matter WHAT company you buy from.xekushnr wrote:Get that alternator tested though. I've seen them come out of the box bad.

The new compressor is R134a or whatever you call it, not r12.Dattebayo wrote:

Is there a way to tune it so the boost hits quicker?Dattebayo wrote:Yeah, all the boost hits kinda late on them tho.
thanks dude!xekushnr wrote:Did you have the alternator bench tested? I'm assuming that the old alternator killed the battery, if thats the case you may need a new battery and that might be it. Get that alternator tested though. I've seen them come out of the box bad.
King Ranzo wrote:I enjoyed my single cam when I had it. Good power and good torque. I didn't mind it. Never had a problem with it. I say save up the money for a CA18DET. They are pretty good little motors. Good out of the box horsepower.
Yes, but it's really not too safe for the motor and should only be used once in a very long while. One of the mods in the CA forum had a thread about it a few months or weeks back I think?King Ranzo wrote:Is there a way to tune it so the boost hits quicker?
Uh, whatever. Like you know anything.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:
I don't even know what that's for.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:
Ah I see. Well aside from the boost kicking in late, it's still a good motor.Dattebayo wrote:
