My motor is dying a slow painful death. It has the normal lifter knock, but even if I'm a little hard on it (spirited driving) it begins making this horribly loud knock. Like it doesn't seem to run any different, but the sound is awful. I can't tell if it's the head or the block.

Either way, I need to start saving for a new motor.

But here's the dilemma. I was going to spend my next paycheck on fixing my A/C. It's a single cam, and I really don't want the next engine in there to be a single cam. Will my compressor work on a dual cam, or dare I say SR?

Sucks either way as I have no monies.

Yeah, but if it's more than just a broken cam, it could lead to an engine swap, which I can't do. My dad could probably do it, but I know I can't. Plus I don't think we have the money for that. We'd probably be able to afford that S14 if I could talk the guy down to 800 bucks and then just run to the junkyard and pick up a cam for like a 100 bucks.

FFFFFUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so the alternator on my GS went out, bought a new one and replaced the old one, drove the car for about half hour it drain the battery!anyone have any idea why?I checked everything and it looked fine
