Whoa, that's crazy. I think my parents bought the first family computer sometime around 1992-1993. By '01 we were on our fourth and I was building my own for college.Mr1der wrote:hell, I didn't even have a home PC until early 2001

Lou, I don't know how much more patiently I can wait for my damn remote. I even had them overnight it (since shipping was only $5 more than standard).
It's generally only a problem for me with electronics. The order went in with Logitech yesterday afternoon, and I keep checking the site like every 30 minutes to see if it has shipped. They need to get it out today so I can play with tomorrow. Otherwise I wont get to test it out til next week sometime.marlin29311 wrote:I love Amazon, but I hate shipping.

How does the emulator work on the Wii (and did you mod the wii? or is that a feature nintendo offers?)? I've got a few games on my xbox, but I've yet to find the perfect emulator. Mario Kart 64 plays well on like 95% of the levels, but there are a few that play back at like hyper-speed. And the sensitivity on Golden Eye makes the game completely unplayable. Sniping doesn't work cause when you zoom in a light breeze on the thumb stick will push you off target.numbnuts240 wrote:i sold mine and all my games to gamestop. worst decision ever. sure i can dl games onto my wii, but it's just not the same.
or you got lucky on your upbringing?AppleBonker wrote:

That's how I feel about Perfect Dark on the Xbox 360 - the aiming is just so weird with the new controllers and such...AppleBonker wrote:

Also, the wiimote just doesn't work for 64. At least the xbox controller is similar enough that it passes in my book.
No doubt about it. I am uber appreciative of what my parents provided for me. I wouldn't say we were rich, but definitely above average. What's funny is looking back on it, I was completely jealous of my truly rich friends and the fun stuff they had. It's amazing how easy it is to dismiss how lucky you are when you're younger.Mr1der wrote:or you got lucky on your upbringing?
