Faiz, how do you have so many cars/bikes if you're a hotel desk receptionist? It takes me forever to save up any money with my job.

WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY PAYING YOU!!!!

I used to leave aim on at home all the time, but I never used it. Can't imagine using it at work. Plus, I used to use trillian to connect, but I run everything on linux now so I'd need to find a new chat client.

I use AIM to talk to a large portion of my friends. I do use MSN for a few people, but AIM is where it's at.

You can run aim through google chat? I've never seen that option. Just found it, it's probably because I'm never signed into gchat which is what is needed for the option to be active.

Sweet deal. I need to find a job. I think I'm gonna go use Google and Craigslist to my advantage.

Not much going on in here.

Nice deal Ryan! $17 per hr. is quite decent.

Don't use ANYTHING online. You will get nowhere, believe me. The best thing to do is go apply at as many places as you can. Like go to a shopping area and pick up applications store by store. Try to talk to the manager first, as they usually are the ones that hire. The important thing is to apply in PERSON. Online will get you nothing for entry level jobs in this bad economy.

Yeah $17 is not bad at all. The other events I did were $21/ hour but I certainly am not going to complain about $17. Especially if the work is like the other events.

You have a good point. I'm gonna check through the sites of some of the stores at malls and such and see if they have printable applications. I have a few that I printed out from GameStop and Hot Topic I just gotta go turn them in.

Well, i'm smart with my money...i can actually save it and not spend it on every little thing i see.

I also just became debt free if you were following the threads i made.

Oh and i was promoted to the front office manager a few months ago so if you combine those things it adds up.

and i bet you, you get paid more than i do but i won't go into pay here...you just gotta be smart with you money man.

This is precisely my problem. Sad thing is, I know it but I lack the will power to make the necessary changes.

I prefer to have female clients, sorry. Guys/animals will cost quite a bit more.

Lol, you missed my point.

-Try to talk to the manager first, not just a crew member-Have a conversation with said manager, not just "are you hiring?"-Get an application FROM THE MANAGER-Follow up in a few days by giving them a call and making yourself remembered.

Turning in an application is just a piece of paper. They don't remember you unless you make yourself stand out. Getting the job from turning in a printed application is slim to none. Especially for people our age. You REALLY gotta try.

Long drive, but do tell...

Actually, I'm bummed I didn't get a job at a gay bar in Chicago when I was still living there. I'm sure I could've made tons in tips of some of those queers. There aren't too many bars around me now, and I bet they're hardly as lucrative.

Edit: I seriously went mental today with typing errors.

I used to manage a liquor store in town. The number of cougars that came in there hurtin for a squirtin was ridiculous. There is a big middle aged female market around here that I'm sure would pay for you to sling the d around.

I also valeted in Baltimore down the street from the Purple Hippo (gay bar, in case you couldn't tell by the name). I was solicited to work there non stop. I was very close to doing it because I knew I'd make a killing.

Dump it and throw A8 wheels on it. But it would still have that hideous red faced cluster, radio and climate control.

I'm gonna talk to my mom about it. She said she would do financing on it and I'd just try a lot harder to get a job then start paying for it myself.
